Last week, a whistleblower who was at odds with Boeing passed himself, and according to authorities, it looks that he took his own life. This occurred when he was involved in a legal dispute with the firm.

An apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound was detected on John Barnett’s corpse, which was discovered on Saturday in Charleston, South Carolina. According to the police, his body was located in his vehicle in the parking lot of a hotel. There has been no news on whether or not there is a suspicion of foul play; nonetheless, the police are conducting an investigation.

Barnett’s attorney, Brian Knowles, referred to the departure of his client as “tragic.” He went on to express clear skepticism about the circumstances surrounding his passing, making careful to refer to the self-inflicted gunshot wound that the police are mentioning as “alleged.”

Barnett was actually in the middle of a whistleblower case against Boeing, his former employer of 32 years, as he was charging retribution for sounding the alarm on what he defined as cutting shortcuts on assembly lines for their jets. This is maybe the most shocking aspect of the situation.

Barnett has been hammering this drum for a considerable amount of time, and some time ago, he even appeared on “TMZ Live” to discuss the problems that Boeing’s 737 Max aircraft had been facing as of late.

In January, a door on a Boeing 737 jet blew off in the middle of the flight, leaving the passengers clinging to their lives while the plane attempted to land safely. This is the event that immediately springs to mind.

During our conversation, Barnett, who had previously worked as a quality manager for Boeing, made the statement that he was not shocked by the accident. He said that he had seen Boeing ignore safety issues for a number of years. Additionally, he informed us that the fact that Boeing’s 737 Max aircraft was given the go-ahead to fly again so quickly after the event that occurred with Alaska Airlines was concerning, implying that it may have been risky.

Let’s fast forward to the previous week, when Barnett was in the midst of taking depositions in court on his lawsuit against Boeing. The business went ahead and issued a statement in which it expressed their sorrow at his passing.
