A GoFundMe account has been started by the relatives of a 10-year-old child who woke up earlier this week to discover his parents and three older brothers passed in their house in Oklahoma. The aim of the effort is to assist with the financial burden that has been caused by the killings.
Brent Remerowski, the boy’s uncle, is the one who came up with the idea for the fundraising event. He said in his letter that the money they earn would be used to cover “funeral expenses, counseling, education, and the child’s general welfare.”
The youngster, who was ten years old at the time, contacted 911 after waking up on the morning of April 22 and finding five losses inside his house, according to a prior statement made by Oklahoma City police. The boy’s identity has not been disclosed by official authorities or his family. It was reported by the youngster that all of the people in the house seemed to be passed, as stated by the police.
According to ABC News, Sgt. Gary Knight of the Oklahoma City Police Department said that the youngster was asleep in his room with the door closed and a box fan running throughout the killings, which would have probably muffled any sounds that could have been heard.
Knight was quoted as saying, “There is no indication that he did not sleep through it,” according to the site.
According to the authorities, Jonathon Candy, 42, murdered his wife, Lindsay Candy, 39, after the two “became involved in an altercation.” He then proceeded to shoot and kill three of his four children, namely Dylan Candy, 18, Ethan Candy, 14, and Lucas Candy, 12. After that, Jonathon turned the pistol on himself again.

In only two days, the GoFundMe campaign has already received more than thirty thousand dollars for the family of the youngster who survived.
“The entire family is at the beginning of [a] long journey, but everyone is focused on one and one thing only….my Nephew and his future…..thanks to all of you,” Remerowski said in an update, which was posted on April 25.
