When (no) push (gift) comes to shove, is that not the case? Kelly Clarkson said that the fact that she did not get a push gift from her ex-husband ought to have been a warning sign.

The daytime talk show presenter, who is 41 years old and has guests Carey Hart and Priyanka Chopra Jonas on her program every Friday, divulged the tidbit on the broadcast on Friday. It was Pink’s husband, Hart, who brought up the fact that he had given her a motorbike as a push present (the couple already has two children together), and it was the Quantico actress who went on to clarify what a push gift really is.

Clarkson did not seem to understand the notion and appeared to believe that the baby was the push present. However, after that, she inquired, maybe in jest, as to whether or not a “push gift” is still presented to the person who performs a cesarean section while delivering a baby. Chopra Jonas, who has been married to Nick Jonas for one year and has a daughter named Malti who is one year old, said that a gift is appropriate no matter how a person gives birth.

“She actually got a motorcycle?!” Clarkson responded after being informed of the meaning of the term “push gift.” “Forget about it, Pink!”

During the course of Hart’s explanation of the reasons why he and his wife consider motorcycle riding to be crucial to their relationship, Clarkson made a comment.

“I didn’t get a present,” was the humorous response she gave. That ought to have served as a warning sign.

Because Clarkson spoke so rapidly, the audience may not have caught on that she was referring to her former spouse Brandon Blackstock when she made that statement. She submitted her petition for divorce in June of 2020, and after a protracted legal struggle, the parties ultimately reached a settlement in March of 2022. They have two children together, a girl named River who is 8 years old and a boy named Remington who is 7 years old.

Blackstock was given the benefit of the doubt by Clarkson because he wanted to be fair.

She said, “I honestly don’t think that he knew [about a push gift],” referring to the individual in question.

Clarkson said why she had been afraid to release songs about her divorce during an interview with Nancy O’Dell on TalkShopLive that took place the week before last.

“I was just crying, like, a lot,” stated Clarkson in reference to the process of composing songs that was primarily inspired by her breakup. “You know, breaking up a relationship that’s been going strong for years. It seems like you have a family. It’s a really complicated process. There are a surprising number of tiers to it…I recently composed a large amount of music, perhaps between two and a half and three years ago. After that, I believe that’s when the thinking kicked in, when it was like, “what’s appropriate and what’s inappropriate?”
