William Daniels expresses his gratitude to his devoted followers as he reflects on his lengthy career.
Over the course of his career, the actor, who just celebrated his 98th birthday on March 31, has played a number of classic parts, including John Adams in the film 1776, Dr. Mark Craig in the television series St. Elsewhere, and, of course, his much-loved role as Mr. Feeny in the television show Boy Meets World. According to Daniels, he is pleased that his work is still held in high regard by his admirers.
“Well, you have to be pleased, and I certainly am,” he replies to himself. “And I hope I’m around a little longer, and we’ll do it again next year.”
Regarding his general health, his wife, Bonnie Bartlett Daniels, has said to People that she makes it a point to ensure that the two of them engage in “some exercise” on a regular basis.
“He has a great deal of strength. She reveals that even at this late stage, his physique is incredibly robust. To put it another way, I simply want him to maintain it strong by working out. We have a woman who visits us twice a week and forces us to behave in a manner that is similar to a routine.

According to Daniels, he began his career as a performer with his appearances on the NBC program The Horn and Hardart Children’s Hour. Despite the fact that it was an unpaid job, Daniels’ mother informed him that the actual worth was in the experience, and he thinks that she was probably correct about that. Daniels was around five years old at the time.
Boy Meets World, a famous and feel-good Disney sitcom, was where he played the part that is considered to be his most memorable. In the sitcom, Daniels portrayed the role of Mr. George Feeny, a wise instructor who acted as a guide and a regular source of counsel for several of the show’s primary characters, including Cory, Shawn, Topanga, and Eric.
During the month of December 2024, Daniels revealed to PEOPLE that he is well acquainted with the enduring influence that his Boy Meets World persona has had.

The regard that people have for my character, George Feeny, is something that I am very conscious of. I see it at conventions and in requests for cameo appearances,” he said. “So I hope to use that authority as a teacher and mentor to help protect young people.”
Fans have the opportunity to show their support for the actor, who just turned 98 years old, and his longtime wife by visiting their official website. On this website, fans may buy signed souvenirs from the pair. “There is a lot of good stuff in it,” Bonnie affirms.
“[Our son Michael] put in a lot of effort into it, and it has been incredibly successful up to this point. After [William] has bought all of the items, we are required to sign them and then send them to him for delivery. Everything is going extremely nicely. There are T-shirts and a variety of other artifacts from our careers that are included in it. Mostly Bill, but I’m also included.”
The actress from Love of Life mentions that their granddaughter “designed the T-shirts,” and she continues by saying, “It’s all just out there.” It’s done pretty well. Over time, it will continue to improve. And I suppose you could say that’s a worthy celebration of 98 years of life.
