Moore is quoted as saying, “Farts are nothing to be ashamed of, they’re very normal — cats fart, dogs fart, birds fart, and even bugs fart,” which is taken from a new book that aims to remove the stigma associated with farting.
Demi Moore is working to reduce the social taboo associated with farting.

An Adult’s Guide to Farts is a new book that was published by Wonderbelly, a firm that specializes in digestive health. The book was authored by Lucas Kraft, one of the company’s co-founders, and drawn by Jessica Paige Dawson. The actress, who is 61 years old, took part in the project.

Moore, in cooperation with Wonderbelly, uploaded a video to Instagram in which she explained the purpose of the book, which is to “de-stigmatize bodily functions (yes, including farting) and raise awareness about eating disorders.”

Moore may be seen in the video reading passages from the new book published by the corporation to her own children who are now adults. “What’s the big stink about?” Moore inquires just before reading about a variety of methods that individuals use in order to conceal their farts, such as putting the blame on the dog.

“Farts are nothing to be ashamed of; they are very normal — cats fart, dogs fart, birds fart, and even bugs fart,” Moore says from the book. “Farts are very normal.”

Following that, the picture book discusses the humiliation that is associated with farts and offers advice on how to prevent experiencing that experience in the future.

Comments were made by members of social media discussing their own experiences with farting.

“It’s wonderful that farting is beneficial to one’s health, but I really despise it when my lover farts in bed since it stinks. There is no way to get around it. Due to the fact that I am too exhausted to get up and move to another room, I sometimes have to suffer and simply try to control my breathing,” one user writes.

Something more was added: “Demi, the work that you are doing is both good and important!” There are also bugs!!! Every day, you are able to acquire new knowledge!

“Farting… well, we all do it! So, let’s get into this topic. What better way than with a theatrical reading of @itswonderbelly’s new book ‘An Adult’s Guide to Farts’,” she starts her post, before noting that she is a “investment” in Wonderbelly. “What better way than with a dramatic reading of…”

When @itswonderbelly initially released their antacids with clean ingredients, that was the moment when I was introduced to the brand. In light of the fact that I am a staunch supporter of gut health, I fell in love with the product very quickly and instantly became an investor. Now that they have released their brand-new Bloat + Gas product, in addition to this amusing and informative book, I adore them even more,” she went on to say.

Following this, the actress who played Ghost launched her very own Internet challenge, in which she invited her friends and other celebs, Kelly Ripa, Kate Hudson, and Chelsea Handler, to do their “own reading” of the book online.

“Digestive health is an important yet often taboo topic,” Moore said in reference to the engagement on behalf of PEOPLE. “When we are infants, we are praised for carrying out bodily functions like as bowel movements and farting, but when we are adults, we often conceal these natural activities. I was motivated to write the book “An Adult’s Guide to Farts” by conversations I had with Lucas, one of the founders of Wonderbelly. These conversations highlighted the fact that tolerating these functions is beneficial for our physical well-being.

“While the book is funny and light-hearted, it has a message about self-acceptance,” according to the author. “It’s a read about farts that aims to make readers smile, feel more informed and be less embarrassed about their bodies.”

Additionally, an Adult’s Guide to Farts may be found on the websites of Target.com and Wonderbelly.com.
