The uncle of Jay Slater, a British adolescent who has gone missing, has drawn parallels between his disappearance and that of Madeleine McCann at this point.
After over two weeks had passed since he was reported missing, the Guardia Civil made the decision to formally stop their search for him over the weekend. Tenerife was the location where the missing Lancashire boy was reported missing on June 17. He had contacted his friend Lucy and informed her that he was lost in a remote section of the island with just one percent of the charge remaining on his phone.
Just a half mile to the north of the Masca village was the last known location of him. The tough terrain of the Rural de Teno park was making it impossible to search for the missing person, despite the efforts of emergency services such as the Civil Guard, mountain rescue team, and fire brigades. The search was formally concluded more than a week ago.
Nevertheless, the family has only recently made the announcement that a fresh search would start, and Jay’s uncle has made a very striking contrast between the two approaches.
According to Glen Duncan, “We have just returned from a trip with some Spanish volunteers.” They have traversed it on foot and with the dogs, and it is apparent that there have been spots that have been searched by helicopters and drones. I don’t think he’s up here at all. The sense that I receive is that this is the case.
Who can say for sure what the cops are doing out here? Who can say for sure? It’s a little bit shady, and they don’t actually communicate with each other. Nothing is going to be given away by them. Jay and I were quite close. When he was younger, he was a normal and wonderful young man who had a large group of friends who enjoyed having a good time. Coming here was something he was looking forward to. Every single one of us has experienced the first guys vacation, hasn’t it?
As long as we continue to cling to hope, we will continue to do so because we do not know. You need to keep your grip on him since he has not been located. I have no doubt that Madeleine McCann’s parents continue to hold so tightly to that dream. the fact that she is now located on the other side of the planet twenty years later. Despite the fact that she has never been located, there is no evidence to suggest that she has been lost. It is really dangerous to be down there. Behold the condition that I am in. “I am not a climber, nor am I a hiker,” she said.
In spite of the fact that the hunt for Jay has been futile up to this point, even with the assistance of TikTok sleuths and other local volunteers, it seems as if the family has not yet given up hope completely.
