In their latest country song, Post Malone and Blake Shelton give off the impression that they are in desperate need of a drink.
The duo of Post Malone and Blake Shelton is playing a joke on us!
Malone, who is 28 years old, got a little bit posty on Thursday and uploaded a video of himself to Instagram, where he was listening to what seems to be a new country collaboration with Shelton, who is 47 years old.
The caption of the image was “🍻 @blakeshelton,” and the clinking of the beers seemed particularly suitable given that the music clip begins with the phrase “somebody pour me a drink.”
Following Malone’s recent switch from rap to country music, many have stated that he must be in the midst of his “cowboy era” since this new song is yet another tune in his journey.
Beginning at the beginning of this year, Malone and Beyoncé made news when they collaborated on an improbable duet for the song “LEVII’S JEANS” that was included on her highly anticipated country album Cowboy Carter. Malone most recently surprised everyone by performing a duet with Reba McEntire at the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards.
Gwen Stefani, who is married to singer Blake Shelton, seemed to be particularly enthusiastic with the lively country hit.
The remark that she made was, “I just can’t take this much cool and cuteness!” “Super fan alert!”
After that, Shelton uploaded a video on Instagram in which he was seen shaking his head in response to Malone’s video.
Malone and Shelton may be heard singing together, “Somebody pour me a drink, somebody bum me a smoke,” throughout the song.
“I’m about to get on a roll, then I’m going to get on a buzz,” she said. They continue by saying, “I’ve been breaking my back, just trying to keep up with the Joneses. You all know what I mean, and you probably already know how it goes.”
In response to Shelton’s description of the video, which read “👀 @postmalone,” Malone answered with more emojis depicting clinking beer.
“Wellllllllll sh*t!” A statement was made by ET’s Cassie DiLaura. There will be a return of Spotify House to Shelton’s Nashville bar, Ole Red, for the 2024 Country Music Awards, and she is scheduled to co-host the event from June 6-8.
Malone and Shelton should hopefully not keep us waiting for an excessively long time.
