With her most recent ensemble, Meghan Markle is channeling one of the most iconic fashion moments that Princess Diana has graced the world with.
When the Duchess of Sussex, who is 42 years old, arrived back in Los Angeles on Monday, May 13, after her and Prince Harry’s trip to Nigeria, she wore a stylish combination that was reminiscent of Princess Diana’s signature style, which consisted of a blazer and an all-white suit.
While arriving at Los Angeles International Airport, Meghan was seen wearing a Jamilla linen jacket in camel by Loro Piana. She combined it with a white sweater also by the brand and white pants, so echoing the distinctive style of her late mother-in-law, who was a fashion icon in the 1990s.
In addition, the Duchess of Sussex donned a pair of YSL Chris slippers that were white and brown in color and made of leather and canvas. These slippers are almost exactly the same as the flats that Princess Diana wore in 1994.
During what looked to be one of her last engagements with Prince Harry during their three-day trip to Nigeria, Meghan was seen wearing the same dress in a picture that was uploaded on Instagram by Derrick Cobbinah, the head of the Ghana-Jamaica Chamber of Commerce. The photo was taken before the couple left on May 12th.
A style that Princess Diana loved when it came to her off-duty attire during the 1990s was the combination of an oversized jacket with a monochromatic white base layer.

While Diana was out and about in London during her time off from public commitments, she was seen on many occasions wearing the stylish mix of clothes and accessories together.
A similar approach to clothing has been taken by Meghan when it comes to her personal engagements, with the majority of the time she opting for sleek, monochromatic outfits.
During her trip to Nigeria, which took place a week ago, the Duchess of Sussex deviated from her typical style by opting for gowns that were sweeping and vibrant in color.
She wore a pink silk Heidi Merrick ‘Windsor’ dress, a crimson Oríré ‘Dire’ dress, and a brilliant yellow Carolina Herrera column gown during her time in the West African nation. These were some of the remarkable outfits that she wore.
During the trip, Meghan continued to show her respect for her mother-in-law by attending a reception for military families in Abuja, Nigeria, on May 11. She wore a necklace that had been previously owned by the late princess. According to an exclusive revelation made by PEOPLE, Harry recently presented his wife with an exquisite gold and diamond cross necklace as a gift.
