Nelly and Ashanti are reminiscing about the fantastic Mother’s Day they had together.
Photographs of the pregnant singer, who is 43 years old, were uploaded on Instagram on Thursday, May 16, showing her standing with her fiance, Nelly, who is 49 years old, and their families over the spring break. During the course of one photograph, Ashanti was seen wearing a garment that concealed her developing belly, while Nelly was seen wearing a gray sweatsuit.
The photo was captioned by Ashanti with the phrase “This Mother’s Day was so special.” It was a wonderful experience to have our family together at the time when we were about to go on such an unbelievable trip. Happy Mother’s Day to all of the wonderful mothers and mothers who are making the world a better place…!!!! 😆😆😆😆❤️🙏🏽🥳 #thankful 🏽🥰”
She continued by saying, “sure, sure, I am aware that I am late… Due to the abundance of food, I found myself sidetracked. 🤣🤣 Please note that I only had one plate available to me.
Ashanti and Nelly made the joyous announcement that they were expecting their first child together in April. The R&B singer confirmed the good news in a video that she posted on her Instagram account about the pregnancy.
Tina Douglas, Ashanti’s mother, inquired about the amount of time she requires while she was getting ready for an upcoming performance. The response that Ashanti gave was, “Uh, I’m going to need about nine months,” which caused her mother to seem really surprised.
An other piece of information that Ashanti disclosed to Essence was that she is not only expecting a child, but that she and Nelly are also engaged.
The newspaper said that Ashanti expressed her gratitude by saying, “This new year of my life is such a blessing full of love, hope, and anticipation.” “Becoming a mother is something that I have been looking forward to, and the opportunity to share this with my family, my fiancé, and my devoted fans at a time when they have been so supportive of my career is an incredible experience.”
Nelly is already a father to his son Cornell III, who is known as Tre, in the age of 25, and his daughter Chanelle, who is known as Nana, in the age of 30. After his sister Jackie Donahue passed away from illness at the age of 31 in 2005, the rapper also assisted in the upbringing of his niece Sydney and nephew Shawn as if they were his own.
In the latter part of the month of April, Ashanti uploaded a video on Instagram in which she was wearing a garment that cut closely to her body. The Grammy winner’s music video included a shot of her displaying her stylish pregnancy style, which was backed by her vocal performance of the song “Sweet Baby.”
