In honor of their upcoming nuptials, Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott are throwing a party in the City of Love.
The ecstatic couple, who made the announcement of their engagement on Instagram on Monday, seemed to be head over heels in love in a set of fresh photos that were taken in Paris on Friday. The pair can be seen in one of the photos standing in front of the Eiffel Tower while sitting on a boat on the Seine. In another photo, the joyful pair is seen wearing sunglasses while posing in front of a gorgeous garden in Paris.
Jonathan accompanied the adorable photos with the phrase “Amour de ma vie.”
ET reported earlier this week that Jonathan popped the question to Zooey on August 13 when the two of them were on vacation in Scotland with their families. Elsie, Zooey’s daughter, is 8 years old, and Charlie, Zooey’s son, is 6 years old. Elsie and Charlie are children that Zooey shares with her ex-husband, Jacob Pechenik, and they were both there on the momentous day.
They announced the wonderful news in a post that they both made on Instagram, which was captioned “Forever starts now!!!.”
The first time Jonathan and Zooey crossed paths was in the summer of 2019, when they were both working on an episode of Carpool Karaoke for Apple TV+ with their respective siblings, Emily Deschanel and Drew Scott.
The previous month, ET got down with Zooey to talk about her most memorable roles and professional highlights. In addition, they took a unique trip down memory lane to recreate the moment when she first met Jonathan.
It was here that I first laid eyes on Jonathan, the man who would later become my lover. Zooey said as she saw the video of Carpool Karaoke that “it is so heartwarming to see this.” “How many individuals can claim that they have video footage of themselves meeting their spouse, including the whole first meeting? In the presence of our siblings, I really doubt that there are very many individuals who can claim that. It’s not a lot of people!”
