Kody Brown and the rest of the Brown family will be returning for another action-packed season of Sister Wives, so be sure to hang on to your perms. The polygamist and father of 18 children still has that dagger stuck in his kidneys, and it is only becoming twisted further as numerous of his wives opt to follow in the footsteps of his former wife, Christine Brown.

Kody and his second wife, Janelle Brown, are shown to be at each other’s throats in the trailer for the recently released season 18 of the show. They engage in heated dialogues and even a passionate yelling war, which finishes with Kody storming out of the home.

And Kody’s first wife, Meri Brown, who is now separated from her husband, has made the decision that she does not desire to stay around just for the sake of staying around. This is a euphemism for the fact that she intends to leave Flagstaff, Arizona, and the Brown family behind.

As a result of all of this, it is safe to conclude that Robyn Brown, Kody’s fourth and only legal wife, will not realize her goal of a crowded porch in the near future.

In the last episode of Season 17, Christine and Truely Brown, their youngest daughter along with Kody, moved out of Flagstaff to Utah, which was a very difficult and socially distant way to say goodbye. Although Kody made a lot of noise about attempting to acquire joint custody of Truely, it never seemed as if he was successful in doing so. Christine was content with her choice and ready to go on with her life during the One-On-One special, despite the fact that there was obviously still a great deal of tension between the two of them. She was even willing to date a guy who resembled an orc from the World of Warcraft realm… yep, that really occurred.

At the conclusion of the season, Janelle and Kody were not on good terms with one another. The longtime couple had multiple heart-to-heart conversations regarding the future of their marriage. Janelle said that she had the impression that Kody was placing her in an awkward situation by pressuring her to make a decision between themselves and their children. After years of basking in the glory of her own autonomy, she found his apparent renewed interest in the “patriarchy” to be particularly irritating. Both Janelle and Kody acknowledged the fact that they had been apart for a considerable amount of time at the One-on-One special that was shown in January 2023. Janelle said that she was only remaining with Kody because she felt it was her religious duty to do so, despite the fact that Kody exhibited desire in making things work between the two of them.

As for poor Meri, she was taken aback during the One-on-One special when she viewed a recording of Kody claiming that he no longer considered himself to be married to her. Kody’s first wife had no idea that he felt this way about their marriage. Meri’s desire to be a member of the Brown family has not wavered, despite the fact that they have been estranged for many years. However, she said that she believed Kody’s statements suggested that they were no longer married. After some time had passed, she explained the situation on social media by stating that she and Kody had “permanently terminated” their marriage.

Robyn was a sobbing mess for the most of the season as she worked to patch up the falling apart family unit. Robyn said that she still had the desire to preserve a multiple family, and she attempted to orchestrate numerous awkward talks between Kody and his other wives, but her efforts were mostly unsuccessful. Robyn’s goal was to establish a plural family.
