In the video that has gone viral and has been seen more than 5 million times, you can see a dog chewing through a leash in order to liberate another dog that is tied up next to a home. And, thankfully, the perseverance of the liberator dog pays off in the end.

Both dogs are relieved to be freed when their leashes are snipped.

Some viewers have hypothesized that the dog that was tied up was being rescued by a stray from a life of constant captivity on a leash that was too short – an act that would certainly be considered heroic. On the other hand, the conditions from which the puppy was rescued are not quite as dire.

Gamaliel Santos Yaez and his fiancée truly like both of these canine companions, and they keep them as pets. The two of them go by the names Thayson and Boby.

Instead of rescuing Boby from being neglected, Thayson was protecting him from having to take a bath.

Yaez told The Dodo that his fiancée was ready to give Boby a bath when the incident occurred. When we take them for a walk or when we bathe they are the only times that they are restrained by a leash. We put them in there [while we’re cleaning them] to prevent them from running about and becoming soiled.

The practice of bathing dogs while they are restrained in this manner is very frequent. Despite this, Thayson wanted that Boby be accessible for him to play with whenever possible.

That’s just how he is.

Despite the fact that Yaez had to postpone his bath because Thayson had freed Boby, Yaez couldn’t help but be appreciative of the pup’s act of kindness toward his friend.

“I was very astonished,” Yaez added. “I was quite amazed.” Following that, they headed out to have some fun. They had missed playing together and were overjoyed to go back to it.

It’s a relief to know that when it’s time to go for walks, Thayson and Boby are more accepting of their leashes.

Since Yaez and his girlfriend acquired Thayson and Boby, the two puppies have been very much inseparable. Thus, maybe it should not come as a surprise that not even bath time is able to come between them.

Yaez said, “They spend absolutely all of their time together.” They have a strong bond of friendship.
