After plunging down a cliff in Arizona’s Coconino National Forest, a well-liked mother of four has unfortunately passed away.
According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, the authorities received a call on Monday just before 4:00 p.m. from a woman who said that her friend, 44-year-old Jennifer Petri, “had fallen 20 feet off a cliff and was no longer visible.” The caller told authorities that Petri had fallen off the cliff.
According to the police, this region is referred to as “The Bluffs,” and it is situated around 200 feet above West Clear Creek.
According to the sheriff’s office, rescue workers couldn’t search due to the “steep and treacherous terrain” that they had to navigate. In the end, deputies were able to find Petri with the use of binoculars. Petri was discovered near the foot of the cliff, “just above the ocean edge.”
The police were able to reach the spot by helicopter after they had located her, and once they did, a trooper “found that she was passed.”
YCSO investigators are looking into the circumstances behind the victim’s fatal fall, according to a statement made by the police.
Petri, who resided in Camp Verde, is remembered by those who were close to her as having been a “wonderful” mother and for the fifteen years she spent working as a waitress at Denny’s restaurant in the area.
According to what Danae Wolf said to an NBC station, KPNX, “I want her to be known for her kindness.” “She served as the cohesive force that kept her family together.”
The information was provided by Wolf, who said that Petri, who “had the most infectious grin,” had passed away only two days before one of her boys reached the age of 15.
Wolf wrote in a note that was uploaded on a Fundraiser that Petri’s family “have been left to cope with not just financial difficulty” but also “the devastating loss of an incredible spouse and mother.” Wolf’s comment was shared on the website.
Wolf referred to her passing as an “unbelievable loss” and urged that her relatives and friends “please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.”
