Everyone agrees that dogs are a man’s best friend and most loyal companion. But, a bunch of pups in the south of Brazil showed their pack leader, a homeless man, the utmost love when they followed him all the way to the hospital. This was a testament to the puppies’ unwavering loyalty.

As both the guy, only identified as César, and the pack of dogs were sitting on the streets of Rio do Sul, they eventually came into contact with one another. As a result of the fact that he routinely shared his food with the homeless animals he befriended, Cesar amassed a sizeable following among the strays. A moving image has proven that it is not the case that these dogs would only stay when there were food crumbs involved, despite the fact that it is feasible to expect that this would be the case.

César arrived in the emergency department of the Regional Alto Vale Hospital in Rio do Sul late in the evening on one of his visits. At the time that the patient was having treatment, the nurse, Cris Mamprim, saw the peculiar sight of four dogs calmly waiting at the front entrance of the facility. When she found out that these dogs had been César’s friends, she was so shaken up that she snapped a photo of them and uploaded it to Facebook, where it got a lot of attention very fast.

In addition to illuminating certain aspects of César’s story, Mamprim used this occasion to admonish readers against casting judgment on other people, especially those who had been through difficult times in their own lives. She penned the following in one of her pieces: “The finest friends are at the side of a humble person, without luxury, who relies on the support to overcome hunger, cold, pain, and the cruelty of the world.” I appreciate him for the reverence and love that he has for his animals, but I have no idea what his life is like or why he is living on the street, and I don’t even want to find out so that I can condemn him. It is clear that they are loved and cared for much, as seen by the fact that they are patiently waiting at the entrance in this manner.

César was in and out of the building in less than an hour, at which time he was met by four viciously wagging tails from the dogs, who were very lucky not to have to wait very long.
