Just before Christmas, Jerry was brought to the Humane Society of Broward County, and when the employees there heard the reason he had been given up, they were completely taken aback by what they had discovered.

According to Susan Leonti, a digital marketing expert at the Humane Society of Broward County, who spoke with The Dodo about the organization’s adoption of animals, “Jerry was given up because his owner thought he was too friendly and too noisy.” When she entered the room, he would smile and welcome her. Jerry is a lovable cat that enjoys being petted and rubbing up against people, but his previous owner said that this behavior irritated her too much.

This was undoubtedly a first for the animal shelter, and the staff and volunteers there were shocked to learn that someone had decided to surrender a cat that was as kind and loving as Jerry.

According to Leonti, “we were really astonished to have a cat surrendered owing to the fact that he or she was too friendly.” “The majority of people who are interested in adopting cats are really seeking ones who are loving! According to our point of view, there is no such thing as a cat that has an excessive amount of affection.

Even poor Jerry could not comprehend the reason he had been taken to the shelter, and it was evident that he was both upset and perplexed. He was timid and would hide when prospective adopters came to visit, but he eventually became more comfortable with the staff members and liked receiving as much attention as he could from them.

Jerry’s new pals at the shelter were aware that there are a lot of individuals in the world who would value a cat like him more than they could ever express. They shared information about him on TikTok, which resulted in a queue of people waiting outside the animal shelter the next morning, all of whom wanted to take him home, including his new forever family.

According to Leonti, “they watched Jerry’s video on TikTok and immediately rushed over to the shelter to adopt him as soon as the doors opened.” They were at the front of a queue of individuals who had seen Jerry’s video and hoped to adopt him that morning. After adopting Jerry, his new family was so kind that they paid the adoption costs for his three feline siblings, Aramis, Porthos, and Athos. These feline siblings have been staying with us since Thanksgiving and have formed a strong attachment with Jerry. The threesome is still up for adoption at this time.

Jerry is getting settled into his new house and is having the time of his life. Even though he’s gone through a lot, he now has the type of loving family he deserves. Despite all, he’s been through.
