On a road in the middle of nowhere in Kentucky, Bluu was praying for a miracle when she was found by a good Samaritan. After being abandoned with a bag of food, the blue nose pit bull sat obediently in the same place for quite some time in the hopes that her family would come back for her. However, her life was about to take an unexpected turn.
The moment the Good Samaritan set eyes on Bluu, they were aware that they could not keep her waiting for any longer than they already had. They approached the adorable puppy with caution, gave her a gentle head rub, and then dialed the number for the local animal shelter to ask for assistance.
The animal shelter in the area responded immediately to the call for help and retrieved Bluu from the side of the road in a secure manner. They provided her with the necessary medical care, and when the time came for her to enter foster care, they contacted their shelter partner in New York City to arrange for her placement there.
Muddy Paws Rescue NYC graciously accepted Bluu into their care and promptly began searching for a foster home that would be an excellent fit for the dog.
In a blog post, Muddy Paws Rescue stated, “Once she arrived in NY, Bluu was paired with a first-time foster, David, who was smitten with her and her gentle soul the moment he met her.” David is a first-time foster.
Almost immediately, Bluu was able to adjust to her new life, which included learning how to navigate the stairs and taking blissful naps in the afternoon. Bluu’s personality blossomed as the days went on, and as a result, anyone who came into contact with her could not help but fall in love with her.
According to what Muddy Paws wrote, “it was obvious to everyone that Bluu was someone or something special.”
The courageous dog had found a place where she could finally relax and be happy, but it was only a temporary foster home; she was still looking for a family to call her own permanently.
One day, a woman who had previously adopted a dog from the New York City-based rescue organization came to the conclusion that her dog, Oreo, required the companionship of another canine. She revisited the website of Muddy Paws in order to look at the adoptable animals, but she was unable to scroll past Bluu.
According to what was written on the Muddy Paws website, “Nafitha saw Bluu on our site and knew she’d be a great fit.” It all started when she attended our adoption event in Central Park, and the rest is a matter of record.
Since being taken in by Nafitha, Bluu has developed an even deeper affection for her adoptive mother, her brothers (both human and canine), and the new life she has been given.
“Bluu is a silly girl, but super sweet and protective, according to what Nafitha says,” “My son and she are so close that it is almost as if they are one person,” Muddy Paws wrote.
Bluu’s short life was filled with some difficult challenges, but judging by her carefree spirit, you’d never know it from seeing her interact with the world. The resilient dog isn’t depressed at all because she’s so happy with her new life, despite the fact that she has a troubled history.
“We don’t know what circumstances led to Bluu ending up there, but we’re so happy that she forgot all about her past when she made it to us,” Muddy Paws wrote. “We’re so happy that she forgot about her past when she made it to us.”
Bluu is currently enjoying the life she deserves with a loving family, which is exactly what her saviors had hoped would happen when they found her. The dog is no longer forced to fend for herself on a highway in Kentucky, but her family will never forget the kind stranger who stopped to lend a hand and forever altered the course of the dog’s life.
