A student who had just graduated burst into tears on the day of his graduation since his parents had forgotten about him and were not present to celebrate his accomplishment with him.

An emotional university graduate in the Philippines was able to grab the hearts of many netizens after disclosing the narrative behind several images of himself sobbing during his graduation ceremony. The photos were taken during the graduate’s ceremony.

Jeric Rivas, who has recently received his Bachelor of Science in Criminology degree, recently wrote about how he felt about his parents’ inability to attend one of the most important days of his life. The day in question was Jeric’s graduation from college, which was one of the most formative experiences of his life.

In a post that went viral on Facebook, Rivas expressed his hope that they would attend the day of his graduation, despite the fact that they had never been present for him in any way, shape, or form throughout his entire life. He said he was hopeful that they would show up despite the fact that they had never done so.

Rivas was recognized as the top student at La Concepcion College in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, where he earned his graduation. Academically, Rivas excelled in the school, and he was named the top student in his class.

Rivas said that he made an effort to walk confidently when his name was called up on stage during the graduation ceremony; nonetheless, he ended up sobbing uncontrollably as a consequence of the knowledge that his parents did not come up again to congratulate him.

Rivas asserts that his parents have never supported him during significant moments in his life, such as the time he graduated elementary school at the top of his class and received the highest awards.

Jeric uprooted himself and moved away from his family and friends on Sibuyan Island, which is located in the province of Romblon, in order to begin a new life elsewhere.

Working a variety of jobs was very necessary for him to be able to afford the steep tuition fees that were required to attend a top institution like La Concepcion College, which he had enrolled in.

While he was pursuing his academic ambitions, he had a variety of jobs, including those in factories, fast food restaurants, and even cleaning houses.

It was brought to the notice of a handful of his understanding instructors, who assisted him by providing lodging and meeting his other requirements. His condition was tragic. People who had been there for him over the years and provided him with support began to seem more and more like family to him.

When it was time for Rivas to get his scroll, one of his professors was there to accompany him to the stage and beam with pride.

In a message he made on Facebook, Rivas expressed his gratitude to his teachers as well as to everyone else who had supported him over the years.

He expressed his gratitude to his parents and hoped that one day they would be pleased with how well he had done in life.

“To my parents, who could still not accept me in their life, if you’re reading this, this is me now, and I hope I did you proud…” he added. “To my siblings, who could still not accept me in their life.”
