The 25-year-old star made an appearance on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, where she discussed the Internet-stirred drama between the two women. She did so despite the fact that both Gomez and Bieber have, in the past, attempted to dispel rumors of ill will between the two on multiple occasions.
Regarding the sequence of events that led up to the beginning of her relationship with Justin, 28, Hailey said, “I can say, period, point blank, I was never with him while he was in a relationship with anybody – that’s the end of it.”
The model stated that although it is “not in [her] character to mess with someone’s relationship,” she is aware of the increased attention that has been placed on her marriage and how it is related to her husband’s previous relationships. However, she did add that she does not intend to interfere in the relationships of others.
“Well, I think even for starts, even me talking about him, or talking about our relationship, people will take that and be like, ‘all she ever speaks about is her connection with him,'” said Hailey. “Well, I think even for starters, even me talking about him, or talking about our relationship.”
“Even something like that, I’m just like, well we are married, and he’s a significant part of my life, and clearly people are really interested in our lives together,” she said. “Even if it’s something as simple as that.”
The model, who just celebrated four years of marriage with the “Despacito” singer, also discussed how she responds to online bullies in her interview.
She said, “You are under no need to like me, but I feel that regardless of the circumstances, there can always be mutual respect between individuals.” “To me, it indicates that there is no need for you to elaborate more. You are not obligated to get along with me, but neither are you required to make a comment.”
During a previous Instagram Live session in which she addressed her song “Look at Her Now,” Gomez, who is now 30 years old, seemed to make a passing reference to the turmoil that surrounded the breakup of her relationship with Justin.
“I am appreciative of the reaction that people have been having to the song. I’m extremely thankful. On the other hand, I do not support the practice of women putting other women down “she remarked after seeing that Hailey liked an Instagram post from Elle magazine that promoted Gomez as the cover star of the magazine. “Never in my life will you find me by that. Therefore, kindly treat everyone with consideration. No matter what the circumstances are if you’re a fan of mine, I ask that you kindly refrain from being impolite to other people.”
