The long-awaited return of Aidan Shaw to Sex and the City has finally been confirmed.
On Tuesday, Sarah Jessica Parker provided confirmation that John Corbett would be returning to his role as the rugged carpenter in the upcoming second season of And Just Like That…
When asked whether Corbett would play the part of Carrie Bradshaw’s ex-boyfriend once again, Parker responded with “Could be, could be” to the question posed by Entertainment Tonight. “Well, you know, I can’t be like, enigmatic about it anymore,” she said. “I’m sorry.”
The announcement of Corbett’s official comeback to SATC comes after he falsely said that he would be joining the show for season 1. In 2021, he disclosed to Page Six that he will reprise his role as Aidan. “I believe I may be in quite a few [episodes],” he added. “I think I might be in quite a few.” “I get along well with all of those folks since everyone has been so kind to me.”
Fans immediately realized that Corbett was nowhere to be seen, which is to be expected. During an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Parker discussed this topic in more detail.

As soon as Carrie started dating again, internet discussions began to emerge, in which people argued for years and years over who Carrie ought to have ended up with in the end. Many people believe that Aidan should have been the one that Carrie chose to spend the rest of her life.
Although it was stated by D.e.a.d.l.i.n.e that Corbett would have a “major, multi-episode storyline,” it is still unknown if Carrie and Aidan will get another opportunity to further their romantic relationship.
