Because he warned the business owners about the criminal intentions of the humans he was with, this dog was able to escape being kidnapped himself.

Even if you’re not Doctor Dolittle, you can’t converse with animals, yet they have little trouble conveying their thoughts and feelings to one another. Vango, a lovely Australian shepherd puppy who is just five months old and responds to his name, did exactly that and saved himself from the clutches of dog nappers. The astute canine strolled into the shop wearing his dog pajamas, and the four-footer immediately made it known to the shop’s proprietors that something was not quite right.

Everything took place at a pet shop in Gatineau, which is located in Quebec, Canada. Vango didn’t stop barking at the shop owner and pleading for his attention the whole time.

Yves Jodoin is a dog trainer at Au Royaume des Animaux in addition to his duties as an employee at the business where he works. It is clear that he has a good deal of experience studying the behavior of dogs since he was able to recognize very immediately that something was very wrong with the circumstances.

In the beginning, Yves believed that the four-footer was wanting a reward because he was hungry and that the dog’s barking was a sign of this desire. Yves became more concerned when Vango continued to bark even after he was given a biscuit. Vango had been a good boy up until this point.

According to the employee and dog trainer Yves Jodoin, who spoke to CBC Canada about the incident, the dog was barking, the dog was prodding, and he really wanted my focus. I was feeding the dog cookies, but he continued to make a racket despite my efforts.

When the couple that walked into the shop with Vance couldn’t even answer basic questions about the dog, a member of the staff started putting the pieces together to figure out what was going on.

The more normal questions Yves asked about the dog, the more suspicious the situation grew, and the more questions he asked, the more suspicious things were. The couple had no idea how old he was, whether or not he had been sterilized, what kinds of foods he typically like, where he originated, or how much money they had spent on him.

The guy remembers that they were trying to avoid answering the questions.

Lucky for us, Lydia Blouin, another member of the team, also saw that something wasn’t quite right. Lydia looked on the community’s social media platforms to see if anybody had posted anything concerning lost or found animals. In spite of the fact that Vango had been reported missing, it did not take very long for them to find a picture of him online. Only a few hours before he arrived at the shop, the dog was plainly spotted at its owner’s house in Buckingham for the final time.

Then, all of a sudden, Yves got the insight that he had previously met Vango since he had trained him back when Vango was only a puppy. Then I called out to Vango, saying, “Come on!” And the dog was reacting; the canine trainer saw that the dog was leaping. “ The whole time, he was growling and jabbing at the air in an effort to communicate that “Hi, I’m not the dog they claim I am.”

The only other choice left for the pair was to be clean and admit that it wasn’t their dog. They said that they discovered Vango in the woods and wanted to keep him as their own personal support animal despite the fact that the lady was unable to purchase a dog and continued to be in poor health. The lady in issue was, of course, caught, and Yves was successful in convincing her to leave the animal in the shop instead of going home with it.

The subsequent worker got in touch with Josée Francoeur, the legitimate proprietor of Vango.

The genuine owner of Vango was completely taken aback when she realized that her dog would not have been able to go away on his own. After being seen in the fenced-in yard for a brief period of time, Vango suddenly disappeared into thin air.

Is it conceivable that he was taken by another person? And there I was, thinking, “That is capable of doing that? It’s not even feasible!

The fact that Yves had called me was a huge source of comfort.

She replied, “I can’t talk about it without sobbing,” and that was exactly what she meant. “Can you imagine? If those people hadn’t gone to that pet shop, I would have had to say goodbye to my puppy for good.”

It turned out that Vango did not have a microchip, but Josée had already planned to take him in to obtain one so she could avoid situations like this one in the future.

Concerning the dognappers, she filed a formal complaint with the canine unit of the local police department.

” I do not intend to cause them any inconveniences. We have no idea why they would have done it. However, at the same time, they took away my little kid,” the proprietor said. “I hope that by sharing this, others will be dissuaded from doing so.”

Because of Vango’s astute actions, he is back in the custody of his loving owner at the moment. What a smart dog you have!
