The junkyard and the freezing garage were Sundae’s only known homes throughout her entire life.

The coonhound and Labrador retriever mix dog was saved by Country Roads Animal Rescue Society from a dog hoarding situation in Oklahoma City. After being rescued, the dog gave birth to a litter of puppies without ever having been inside a home.

That is, until her foster mother educated her about the significance of sleeping in a warm bed. Sundae’s expression of relief was immediately visible the moment she took a seat to relax.
Sundae was calm and collected because she was confident that she was in no danger.

On Reddit, Sundae’s foster mom Mugglequeen wrote, “We’ve had her for about a week, and you’d never know she’s never been an indoor dog before.” Mugglequeen is Sundae’s temporary guardian. “On the inside, she is completely toilet trained, really sweet, and pretty polite,” the owner explained. “On the outside, she has a bit of a rough exterior.”

Mugglequeen decided to call her Sundae due to the wonderful chocolate, vanilla, and caramel coloration that can be seen on her face. Sundae also has a very sweet personality.

Sundae was initially wary of men, but she eventually became more comfortable around them after her foster mother placed a pair of shorts that her boyfriend had given her on the bed, which Sundae considered to be her favorite spot in the house.

At the moment, Sundae is the most adorable little girl, and she frequently snuggles with her foster mother. Mugglequeen offered an explanation, saying that “She loves to sleep as near to me in bed as possible.” I believe that she is simply trying to make up for the nearly eight years that she has spent being unloved.

After a period of prolonged neglect, Sundae is at last starting to get the medical attention that she so desperately needs.

The results of her visit to the veterinarian showed that she had heartworms and required dental work, but other than that, she was in good health. The only thing left for Sundae to do at this point is to wait for the perfect family to come along and fall in love with her puppies, who are currently in the care of other foster families.

Mugglequeen continued by saying, “Her ideal family would have a very laid-back way of life and a lot of patience to allow her to continue to come out of her shell and gain confidence.” “She’s going to live with me until she finds the person she wants to spend the rest of her life with!”
