The baby was discovered in a field in Lormi, a village in India’s Chhattisgarh state.
People in the neighborhood heard her wailing and discovered her snuggled up with the pups, perfectly uninjured.
It is believed that the pups’ mother was the first to discover the baby and immediately sat down next to her. Her umbilical chord was still linked to her body.
‘At 11 o’clock in the morning, we saw that there was a newborn baby girl crying and lying beside pups in our village,’ the villagers stated.
‘We panicked and informed the health department before the newborn was taken to the hospital for a further check-up’.
This newborn’s survival may have been saved by the warmth of the pups and the warmth of their mother herself.
The youngster, who has been identified as Akanksha, was very fortunate to have lived, since the temperatures dropped to dangerously low levels.
When she was discovered, a component of local government known as the panchayat was notified, and they enlisted the assistance of the police.Officers transported the youngster to a local hospital so that physicians could check on her health status.
‘They are not parents, they are criminals,’ a local resident said. When stray dogs are lurking about every now and then in the middle of the night, it is a marvel that any newborn newborns survive.
The police have launched an inquiry and are also looking for the child’s parents, who have not yet been located.
