Jill Biden welcomed Willow, a new kitty, to the White House on Friday, after more than a year of cat-related concerns after she stated she wanted to have a cat when she moved into the White House in 2020.

The First Lady Jill Biden tweeted, “Meet Willow,” along with three photos of the White House’s newest occupant.

Willow, a two-year-old farm cat named after the first lady’s hometown of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, was a farm cat in Pennsylvania before arriving into the White House.

According to the first lady’s spokesman, Michael LaRosa, the gray and white tabby cat made an impact on her when she was on the campaign trail in 2020.

Willow is fitting down well, according to LaRosa, with her “favorite toys, food, and lots of space to sniff and explore.”
