Christy Turlington is celebrating a major moment as a proud mother after her daughter, Grace Burns, graduated from New York University.

The 57-year-old model shared heartfelt photos from the graduation on Instagram on Thursday, May 14, including touching family moments and images of Grace in her purple cap and gown. Alongside completing her studies, the 22-year-old also managed to build a modeling career.

Reflecting on the milestone, Turlington described the week as emotional and meaningful, saying it was incredible to see her eldest child achieving goals and realizing dreams sooner than she had expected. She also spoke about the importance of educating young women, expressing confidence that Grace and her classmates are ready to make a positive impact on the world.

She closed her message by congratulating all graduates, giving a special shoutout to her daughter.

Friends and fellow celebrities quickly filled the comments with support and praise. Jessica Capshaw congratulated Grace enthusiastically, while Carolyn Murphy reacted with celebratory emojis.

The post also featured family photos with Grace’s father, Ed Burns, 58. In addition to Grace, the couple also share a son, Finn, 20.

Burns previously opened up about becoming empty nesters, admitting that the quieter house has been an adjustment, even though he and Turlington are proud to have raised independent children prepared for adulthood.

Earlier this year, Burns also explained that the couple intentionally kept their children away from Hollywood events and premieres, believing that giving them a more grounded upbringing played a big role in both their strong family dynamic and their children’s success.
