Rosie O’Donnell recently shared a heartfelt moment with her followers, revealing the first time she met her newborn grandson, Anthony Joel. On April 5, she posted a photo of herself holding the baby, calling it the “best day ever” and describing him as truly beautiful. She also expressed how proud she is of the baby’s parents, her son Blake and his wife Teresa.
In another post, Rosie shared a family photo featuring Blake, her daughter Vivienne, and her youngest child Clay, all gathered together and taking turns holding the newborn. She said she was thrilled they could all be there to welcome the baby.
She had first announced Anthony’s birth on March 28, sharing her joy and congratulating Blake and Teresa, along with a sweet black-and-white photo from the hospital.
Blake and Teresa had originally revealed they were expecting their first child about a year after their wedding, posting a creative announcement with a baby outfit and sonogram. Rosie responded with excitement, while Blake’s other mother, Kelli Carpenter, also shared her love and happiness for the growing family.
Rosie has five children in total and is already a grandmother to several others, including her daughter Chelsea’s four kids.
Last year, Rosie made headlines after moving to Ireland with her youngest child, Clay, partly due to political tensions in the U.S. Earlier this year, she mentioned in an interview that she had returned to the U.S. to reunite with her family and was especially looking forward to meeting her new grandson.
