The sensation of regressing into one’s younger self is something that is all too familiar to many who spend Thanksgiving weekend attending family gatherings. Irrespective of how old you may be, there is something about sleeping in the bedroom that you have kept from your youth and being confronted with inquiries from members of your family who are curious that may bring out the adolescent in you. One of these individuals is Sydney Sweeney, who seems to have found a way to embrace her inner kid while celebrating Thanksgiving Day, but in a manner that is far more enjoyable and nostalgic.
Photographs from a Friendsgiving event that took place not so long ago were posted by the Euphoria singer on Sunday, November 30. How about the motif? A Shrek. All of the attendees were aware of the situation and arrived dressed as a character from the series, representing a wide range of characters, from Fiona to the Gingerbread Man.
The Midas touch, on the other hand, was applied to Sweeney’s selected character, who was dressed in a teeny, tiny bodysuit. Sweeney is blessed with the magic touch that can make anything appear hot, even a fictitious crew commanded by swampy ogres. Although most people choose to dress up as Fiona or the Fairy Godmother, Sweeney took a more alternative approach and wore a costume that was reminiscent of the Dragon, also known as Elizabeth. The Dragon is more well-known for being a vixen who is attempting to seduce Donkey, despite the fact that she is, in my opinion, the story’s unsung hero since she consumes Lord Farquaad in its whole. These are the qualities that Sweeney displayed in her outfit, which consisted of a bodysuit made from a bright red skin that was nearly reptile in appearance. A plunging neckline, ruffle trim, and a false abs were all features of this garment.
Additionally, the onesie sported a somewhat small dragon tail. The overall appearance is reminiscent of a Victoria’s Secret Angel, with tiny wings and triangular spikes running around the back of the garment.
She finished off the look by donning a pair of pointed-toe shoes, knee-high stockings, a horned headdress, transparent black tights, and opera gloves that matched each other. From Shrek’s swamp, the actress who appeared in Anyone But You moved to the Happiest Place on Earth and embraced the Disney adult lifestyle. She is now a Disney adult. A navy-gray hoodie with a Mickey Mouse that was not completely covered was worn by her, and she coupled it with Mickey Mouse ears that were plaited in red and green. (It would seem that she is a fan of the headband appearance. It was in the same picture dump that she was seen wearing a headband with a light-up kitten ear, jorts, and a shirt that plunged down.
Additionally, she accessorized with a brown Miu Miu Beau purse that had white straps, despite the fact that her ensemble had an overall feeling of comfortable nostalgia. Always a Miu Miu girl, even if you were a Miu Miu girl before.
In recent years, there have been a number of maximalist trends, such as Barbiecore and the mob wife aesthetic. However, the majority of styles are considered to be Glamour Lite. Even the style that is considered to be the most provocative and eye-catching, often known as “naked dressing,” frequently incorporates a muted, one-tone diaphanous fabric, a basic form, and very little drama. There are, however, a select few celebrities that are the epitome of glamor, and Sydney Sweeney is that celebrity.
She is, indeed, a fashion nimble individual, as seen by her ability to effortlessly transition from a preppy, academically elegant Miu Miu to a free-spirited, flowing Chloé number, amongst other transformations. On the other hand, the Euphoria star shines brightest when she embraces Old Hollywood glam on red carpets, almost as if she were a Marilyn Monroe from the year 2025.
The Stunning Dress Worn by Sydney
The actors were present for the New York screening of her latest thriller, The Housemaid, which took place on Tuesday, December 2nd. In the movie, which is based on the book of the same name written by Freida McFadden, Sweeney plays the role of the eponymous domestic worker, while Amanda Seyfried plays her supervisor beside her. In the past, Sweeney has been known to favor method dressing; however, the outfit that she wore on the carpet was the complete opposite of that.
Instead of adopting the easy essentials that her character wears, the actress decided for a more glamorous look this time around. She draped herself in a figure-hugging white gown that was flooded in glittering rhinestones and was designed by Miu Miu, no less. In order to add a touch of sweetness, it had a deep V-neckline, slim straps, and an empire waist that was adorned with bows. The sumptuous feathery stole that Sweeney wore was the element that took her outfit to the next level, despite the fact that shimmering gowns are nearly universally worn on red carpets. Additionally, she completed her look with a pair of vertiginous peep-toe platform shoes in the same white color. When you look at winter whites, have you ever seen them this dramatic?
Regarding her appearance, she opted for a powder pink lip gloss and shiny eyelids, and she wore her blonde hair in loose waves that evoked the look of the past. She also avoided wearing excessive makeup.

It should come as no surprise that Sweeney’s co-star successfully competed on the red carpet while wearing a liquid jersey dress in a blush pink color from Versace’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection. In a manner that was reminiscent of Sweeney’s gown, it had ruched elements and a plunge that exposed breasts.
Seyfried adorned herself with two pieces of jewelry from Tiffany & Co., which included three necklaces that were inspired by birds. Among the tennis necklaces, one contained a pendant in the form of a double-bird, while the other two featured diamonds in the style of wings.
