A significant milestone in the history of reality television was the broadcast of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County.

The popular program that aired on MTV started in 2004. Over the course of three seasons, it chronicled the lives of a group of students from Southern California as they dealt with the challenges and opportunities that come with high school. The cast of the much-loved reality series is getting back together as adults, Roku said today.

Audiences will get the opportunity to revisit the early days of Lauren “LC” Conrad, Kristin Cavallari, Stephen Colletti, and many more when Roku Presents: The Laguna Beach Reunion makes its premiere on The Roku Channel in the year 2026.

In order to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the conclusion of the series, the cast will get together for a reunion special that will last for two hours. They have also released a flashback of the actors enjoying their prom together in honor of the unique occasion.

Conrad, Colletti, and Cavallari, who all serve as executive producers for the project, will come together with Lo Bosworth, Talan Torriero, Trey Phillips, Christina Shuller, Dieter Schmitz, Jessica Smith, and Alex Hooser to reflect on the series that changed the landscape of reality television forever. This is the first time since 2006 that all of these individuals have come together.

Fans can anticipate listening to behind-the-scenes tales that have never been shared before, cast responses to episodes of the original series, and a return to the place where it all began, Laguna Beach, in the current day. Roku devices and televisions, as well as TheRokuChannel.com, will be able to view the reunion special free of charge.

Brian Tannenbaum, the head of Roku Originals at Roku Media, said that “Laguna Beach” was not simply a television series; it defined a generation of pop culture and set the road for the reality genre as we know it today.

“Reuniting this cast two decades later is a dream, and we are delighted to give streamers a front-row seat to the nostalgia.”

I never imagined for a single second that we would discover such a great bunch of true friends when I originally presented the program to my superiors at MTV. The series had a great deal of significance for a generation of fans who had been eagerly awaiting its release, and it was not only transformative for myself and the cast, but it also had a profound impact on the lives of the cast members, according to Liz Gateley, the creator of the series. “To partner with Roku to reunite the cast and produce this special with Lauren, Stephen & Kristin as Executive Producers 20 years later is a dream.”

Cavallari made a quip about the issue on the May 5 broadcast of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She had just recently embarked on a podcast tour in which she was joined by a few of the people with whom she starred in Laguna Beach.

She said, “I don’t know if fun is the right word,” when presenter Jimmy Fallon asked her whether it was “fun” to rejoin with her friends from Laguna Beach. It was something… Everyone becomes worried and everyone begins drinking when all of the members of your high school group get together.

“I felt like I was back in high school,” she went on to say. “We get everyone on stage, and things immediately go wrong.”
