According to Cindi Berger, who represents Redford, Robert died away on Tuesday morning at his home in Sundance, Utah. According to Berger, Robert was surrounded by the people he cared about in the environment that he loved. The exact reason for his death has not been disclosed to the public. For decades, the legendary director worked as a prominent actor in Hollywood, and some of his most noteworthy productions are “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” in 1969, “The Sting” in 1973, “Three Days of the Condor” in 1975, “All the President’s Men” in 1976, and “The Natural” in 1984.

Additionally, he worked with some of Hollywood’s most beloved leading actresses, including Jane Fonda in the 1967 film “Barefoot in the Park,” Barbra Streisand in the 1973 film “The Way We Were,” and Meryl Streep in the 1985 film “Out of Africa.”

After that, in the year 2016, President of the United States Barack Obama presented Redford with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which is the most prestigious award that can be given to a citizen in the country.

In 1981, Redford established the Sundance Institute, a non-profit organization that is devoted to exhibiting the work of independent filmmakers; he is well renowned for this accomplishment as well. In 1984, he assumed the position of director of a film festival that was experiencing difficulties. Today, same festival is known as the legendary film festival in Park City, Utah, which we all know and adore. According to reports, he voiced his dissatisfaction with the festival’s rise in popularity in 2012.
