This little child had long, flowing golden hair for as long as anybody could remember, and it was always seen in him.
Sometimes it was tied back into a ponytail, and other times it was let to lie in natural waves. It was smooth and shiny, and it cascaded far over his shoulders like a waterfall. It didn’t matter where he went, people revered him. Indeed, there were instances in which those who were not familiar with him, mistaking him for a female, complemented his parents on their “beautiful daughter.”
In the beginning, he thought it was funny; it was a harmless mistake. On the other hand, as time went on, those remarks started to weigh heavily on him. Everyone noticed his hair and formed conclusions about him, regardless of what he was wearing or how he was behaving.
One day, while he was gazing at his mirror, he came to the realization that he was prepared.
Prepared to make a shift.
In spite of the fact that he entered the barbershop with such beautiful, golden hair, he emerged from the establishment looking quite different.
Nothing remained of the silky, flowing hair left. Rather than that, he had just adopted a short, neat haircut that emphasized his features and brought attention to his huge, expressive eyes.
In fact, even his family was taken aback; at first, some of them didn’t even recognize him. In spite of this, the most remarkable thing about him was not only his new haircut; it was his new stance.
Indeed, he was taller. Expanded her smile.
People finally acknowledged him for the person he really is for the very first time.
And he took great pleasure in it.
