Ghislaine Maxwell, who is now doing time in prison for her relationship with sexual offender Jeffrey Epstein, has informed authorities in the United States that she did not see any improper behavior on the part of Donald Trump or former President Bill Clinton.
There has been a lot of pressure put on the Trump administration to provide information concerning Epstein, who the president of the United States had a good relationship with.
It was in July that Maxwell was interrogated from behind bars, and according to the transcript that was only recently made public, he said to Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche that the “client list” that has been the subject of much discussion does not exist.
The family of Virginia Giuffre, a famous Epstein accuser who passed away earlier this year by taking her own life, claims that the government has provided Maxwell with “a platform to rewrite history” as a result of the interview.
In addition to being charged with lying to federal agents, Maxwell is attempting to get a pardon from President Trump.
Blanche, who had previously served as Trump’s personal attorney, was transferred from a jail in Florida to a new minimum-security institution in Texas not long after receiving the interview. Blanche had previously worked as Trump’s attorney. It is not known what motivated the decision to relocate.
A petition has been submitted to the Supreme Court of the United States to overturn her conviction for a sex trafficking scheme, for which she is presently serving a term of twenty years. They have said that they would “welcome” a pardon from the president, according to her attorney.
She also said that it was “mind-blowingly not conceivable” that Prince Andrew had sexual intercourse with a female who was under the age of 18 when they were staying at Maxwell’s dwelling.
Despite the fact that the name of the girl was omitted from the conversation, it was abundantly evident that Maxwell was talking about Giuffre, who had said that she was paid to have sexual relations with the prince at Maxwell’s residential property. A picture that has gained notoriety depicts the three of them together when she was 17 years old.
In 2022, the prince reached a settlement with Giuffre, although he denied any responsibility.
“I believe it’s literally a fake photo,” Maxwell said during the interview. “It’s a fake photo.”
“Outraged” is how the family of Giuffre described their reaction to the information that Maxwell disclosed in his interview with the Justice Department.
“During DAG Todd Blanche’s bizarre interview, she is never challenged about her court-proven lies, providing her a platform to rewrite history,” according to the official statement. “This travesty of justice entirely invalidates the experiences of the many brave survivors who put their safety, security, and lives on the line to ensure her conviction, including our sister.”
It has been made very clear by the White House that “no leniency is being given or discussed” in relation to Maxwell’s case.
Donald Trump has asserted that he had a disagreement with Epstein around the year 2004.
The president has taken the position that his political adversaries are exploiting the issue as a means to divert attention away from what he considers to be the successes of his administration.
Nevertheless, he has also been under to criticism from his own Republican Party, which has demanded more openness over the probes of Epstein.
The revelations made by the Maxwell transcript
Maxwell said in the transcripts, which totaled 300 pages and had a significant degree of redaction, that while she felt Trump and Epstein were friendly “in social settings,” she did not feel that they were close friends.
When she replied, “I actually never saw the president in any type of massage setting,” she was making a reference to the massage services that some of the victims of Epstein have discussed. “The president was never inappropriate with anybody.”
“In the times I was with him, he was a gentleman in all respects,” she said in addition.
In addition, she said that she did not remember Trump sending Epstein a message on his 50th birthday in 2003, which captured the attention of the media when the note was disclosed in the Wall Street Journal only recently.
The purported “client list” of high-profile persons that has been the subject of conspiracy theories in recent years was another topic that Blanche inquired about during the discussion with Maxwell.
A number of well-known people, such as Bill Gates, Elon Musk, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., actor Kevin Spacey, model Naomi Campbell, and Prince Andrew, were among the people that Maxwell was questioned about. She denied that she had introduced Prince Andrew to Epstein.
The list of his high-profile friends had become a focus point for conspiracy theorists, who argued that it was being concealed by the “deep state” in order to protect famous citizens who were involved in Epstein’s criminal activities.
Although they have subsequently retracted their statements, other members of Trump’s administration, including the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Kash Patel and the Deputy Director Dan Bongino, have made similar assertions in the past.
“There is no list,” that is what Maxwell stated.
In addition, Maxwell discussed Prince Andrew, whose intimate association with Epstein ultimately resulted in his resigning from his position as a member of the royal family.
It was a “flat untruth” that she had been the one who introduced Epstein to the Duke of York, according to her statement.
“First of all, let’s just state, I did not introduce him to Prince Andrew,” she said to reporters.
It was with great detail that she discussed Epstein’s friendship with both Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, who is the Duchess of York respectively.
In an earlier statement, Prince Andrew said that Maxwell was the one who introduced him to Epstein. Nevertheless, Maxwell said that she was of the opinion that the duchess was the one responsible.
In response to the BBC’s inquiry on Maxwell’s assertion, representatives for Sarah Ferguson rejected the opportunity to speak.
Additionally, Maxwell divulged information on the purported romantic relationship that Prince Andrew had with a lady whose name has been omitted from the transcript.
As a result of the size of her home, which is supposed to have been the location of the events in question, she stated that she believed the charges that were made against the Duke of York to be “mind-blowingly not conceivable.”
In addition, she was questioned over a “famous photo” that included Prince Andrew and the lady who remained nameless, with Maxwell serving as the backdrop. Blanche was informed by her that this photograph was a forgery.
The allegations of sexual abuse that Virginia Giuffre made against the prince are not included in the transcript. Giuffre made the allegations when she was 17 years old. Although he rejected the charges, he did negotiate a financial settlement with her in 2022. However, the payment did not include any acknowledgment of wrongdoing or apology made by him.
A photograph that has been extensively disseminated has him standing next to Giuffre, with Maxwell in the background. In the past, Andrew has cast doubt on the legitimacy of the item.
Prior to the beginning of this year, Giuffre committed suicide. Her family has expressed their disapproval of the Justice Department’s decision to conduct an interview with Maxwell, describing her as a “monster” whose evidence cannot be relied upon.
According to Maxwell, she first became friends with Epstein in the year 1991, and after that, she went on to start a sexual connection along with him.
Epstein continued to pay her up to $250,000 (£184,782) a year by 2009, she claimed, and they continued to be “friends with benefits” (also known as “friends with benefits”) even after the relationship had ended. She went on to say that their connection had become “almost non-existent” between the years of 2010 and his death.
The year 2019 was the year when Epstein took his own life in a New York prison cell while he was awaiting trial on allegations of sex trafficking.
When asked, Maxwell said, “I do not believe he died by suicide, no.” However, she went on to say that she did not “have any reason” to suspect that he had been slain in an effort to quiet him.
She said, “It’s ludicrous,” in reference to the suspicions that he was killed. “I also happen to think if that is what they wanted, they would’ve had plenty of opportunity when he wasn’t in jail.”
“And if they were worried about blackmail or anything from him, he would’ve been a very easy target,” she said in addition.
In the beginning of this year, there were many stories that surfaced stating that President Trump was informed by the United States Attorney General Pam Bondi that his name was included in the official files of the investigation against Epstein.
Trump has never been accused of any misconduct in connection with the case, and he said on the campaign trail the previous year that he would make more information about the case public.
However, after a few months of his administration, he changed his mind and said that the issue was closed. He also criticized supporters and media who continued to push him on the matter.
