When Roseanne Barr put her daughter for adoption, she was under the impression that Goldie Hawn was her real mother for the most of her upbringing. It wasn’t until she was 17 years old that she found out the truth; Barr’s ex-boyfriend had communicated the information to the media.

During the episode of Bunnie XO’s podcast titled “Dumb Blonde” that aired on June 23, the 72-year-old actress and comedian remembered the tale of the kid, Brandi Brown, who is now 53 years old, whom she had given for adoption when she was 18 years old.

Bunnie was informed by Barr, who was residing in Denver at the time, that she “got to have” Brown for a week prior to surrendering her for adoption. When they came to grab her, I told her, “Well, I’ll see you when you’re 18,” and she didn’t believe me. In addition, she said that she “always knew that we’d find each other when she was 18.” “I knew,” the actress told the audience.

Barr, on the other hand, said that Brown believed that her real mother was the Overboard star until that day ever arrived. The fact that she looked so much like Hawn, who was 79 years old, and the fact that she had very little information to go on led her to make this judgment.

Barr said that all she was aware of was the fact that her mother was Jewish and prominent in the Hollywood industry. The fact that she looked so much like Goldie Hawn led her to believe that she was her mother. “And so she thought it was Goldie Hawn,”

According to Barr, who was alluding to the National Enquirer, “I was on TV, and that’s how they found me.” “My boyfriend at the time [Tom Arnold], I found out way later, he went to the Enquirer and told them that I had a baby that I gave up.”

Barr claims that the tabloid magazine was the one who first reached out to her and informed her that they were going to publish a story on Brown “regardless of whether or not you want us to cover it.” It was said that the publication wanted to take photographs of the mother-daughter pair engaging in their first encounter, but Barr denied the offer.

After going through a number of hoops to locate Brown’s mother, Barr said that she phoned her to inform the family about the call from the Enquirer and to offer to meet up with them.
Not much longer after that, the newspaper revealed the information. “My daughter answered the phone when she received a call from the Enquirer, and they asked her, ‘Would you like to know who your mother is?'” Barr stated that she was all giddy with excitement because she believed that Goldie Hawn would be chosen. “And they say, ‘It’s Roseanne Barr,'” she writes. And her remarks, which are so funny, are as follows: “Christ, I didn’t even know she was a Jew,” which is so ridiculous.

The actress said, “And she was mad too, because I was fat and everything,” referring to her appearance.

However, Brown was able to see the similarities between the two of them very immediately after glancing at a photograph of Barr, as stated by the comedian.

It is as if she is saying, ‘Oh my gosh, I do look just like her.’ On top of that, she looked in the mirror with the photo,” Barr added. “She just kept looking at me and saying, ‘I do, I look exactly like her,'” the speaker said.

After that, Brown and her mother took a flight to see Barr. Brown was accompanied by her mother.
The actress is quoted as saying that they “met, and it was wonderful.” Since that time, we have managed to get back together, and she is now 53 years old. She is just wonderful.

Regarding Brown, Barr said, “She is married to a wonderful man and has a son.” The phrase “she is a wonderful woman” It was a tabloid that contacted me to inform me, ‘We found your daughter.’ “I was left speechless,” she said at the time. When I was 18 years old, I gave up the baby girl I had conceived outside of my marriage and given up for adoption after nine days in Denver. They had obtained the birth certificate of the baby girl.

Barr also said to PEOPLE at the time that she had first been “pissed off” at the Enquirer; but, in a recent documentary titled Roseanne Is America, she stated that she no longer harbors any ill will toward the publication.

“Do I feel emotional about it?” According to what she said in the documentary. It is not. I am thankful for you.”
