It has been determined who the only Canadian passenger was on the Air India aircraft that resulted in the deaths of all but one fellow passenger.
One of the 241 people who lost their lives on board the Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft was a dentist named Dr. Nirali Sureshkumar Patel, who was 32 years old and from Mississauga, Canadian province. According to reports made by CTV News, National Post, and CP 24 on Thursday, June 12, she is survived by her husband and their kid who is one year old.
It was just five minutes after the jet had taken off when it crashed in a residential neighborhood of India at around 1:43 p.m. local time. The plane was headed to London.
“It really and completely shocks me. Don Patel, a prominent member of the community, is quoted as saying to CTV News Toronto on Thursday that “this grievance is without words.” According to Don, who was familiar with Nirali’s family, she had been vacationing in India for around four or five days prior to her return to Etobicoke.
“Yes, she was going to return. In addition, we were informed that this terrible event had place as soon as we awoke,” he said.
There were reports that her husband, who did not want to disclose his identity to the public, said, “That was my wife.” According to the National Post, “I am not in a state to share my thoughts at this time.”
It has been alleged that he and the kid are now in the process of heading to India.
In reference to Nirali’s family’s efforts to go to India, Don said, “I had a very brief conversation with her brother this morning while we were attempting to assist and manage their travel arrangements.”

“In every manner that we can, we will make an effort to provide them with strength. The family friend continued by saying, “There are times when words might not be able to help them, but providing them with moral support or simply showing up and being there with them gives them so much strength.”
Regarding X, the Premier of Ontario, Doug Ford, expressed his sympathy.
It has come to my attention that a Canadian citizen hailing from Mississauga, Ontario was one of the individuals who perished in the horrific Air India tragedy that occurred close to Ahmedabad. On behalf of the people of Ontario, I would like to express my most sincere sympathies to the affected families and loved ones of each and every victim. During this trying time, we are keeping you in our thoughts,” the Canadian lawmaker said in a letter.
The Boeing 787-8 airplane was carrying 230 passengers and 12 crew members at the time of its departure.
According to a statement released by the airline on Thursday morning, “The passengers consisted of 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, 7 Portuguese nationals, and one Canadian national.”
It was first believed that every single person on board had perished in the crash; however, it was subsequently announced that the only individual to survive the accident was “a British national of Indian origin.” According to reports from the area, the individual in question is Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, who is forty years old and is presently being treated at a hospital.
Together, he and his brother, Ajay Kumar Ramesh, 45, were heading back to the United Kingdom after spending time in India during which they had visited relatives. The death of Ajay is assumed.
However, Ramesh was awake enough to recount the collision from the hospital, despite the fact that he had incurred “impact injuries” to his chest, eyes, and feet.
In an interview with The Hindustan Times, he said that thirty seconds after takeoff, there was a tremendous bang, and then the jet crashed. He was speaking from his hospital bed. It everything took place in such a sudden manner.
“As soon as I picked myself up, there were dead corpses all around me. When I was afraid. It was then that Ramesh added, “I got up and ran.” “There were fragments of the airplane scattered all around me. I was taken to the hospital by someone who got hold of me, helped me get into an ambulance, and transported me there.
Currently, the inquiry into what caused the accident is still ongoing.
