Just a few days after graduating from high school, a young man from Michigan was killed in a violent vehicle accident.
On Thursday, May 29, Aiden Alexander, who was 18 years old, passed away when he was driving his younger sister Halen, who was 16 years old, home from school, as reported by KOLD-TV.
According to the publication, a vehicle that had veered into the siblings’ lane collided head-on with the automobile that they were driving. KOLD-TV was informed by the police that the other motorist, a 68-year-old male, had life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision. Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the disaster.
According to WNEM-TV, Aiden had only recently graduated on May 18th.
The collision was avoided by his sister.
KOLD-TV was informed by Andy Kowalczyk, the superintendent of schools for the Pinconning Area Schools, that “it’s tough.” “[Aiden and Halen] were very respectful students; students that you’d like to have in your class.”
In the wake of the tragedy, the superintendent has said that he is working to provide a safe space for children to discuss their emotions and what they are going through.
“Talking to people, that others are going through it too, and not to be ashamed to go talk to a counselor because they can really help,” he said further. “They know how to support students and how to get through some of these grieving processes.”

On the first of June, individuals attempted to get further information by contacting Pinconning Area Schools and the Bay County Sheriff Department; however, they did not receive a response directly from any of these organizations.
Additionally, Kowalczyk expressed his sympathies to the Alexander family by stating, “We are thinking of them.” It’s important to know that the whole school is rooting for them.
The family has been given assistance via the establishment of a GoFundMe page. To far, it has amassed more than $19,000 in donations.
According to the description on the GoFundMe page, “Aiden was sent to heaven and Halen is in critical care with many surgeries ahead of her.” “The family must be inconsolable and utterly distraught. In this time of need, we aim to collect money to cover any and all expenses that the family may incur. It was also taken away from them that their family dog, Moose, was taken away.
According to KOLD-TV, the dog was also present in the vehicle at the time of the collision.

The publication was informed by Monica Rabie, who is the cousin of Aiden and Halen, that Halen is unaware that her brother has passed away.
In my opinion, she is completely out of her mind. It is unknown to her who has died away. It has been brought to her attention on several occasions, but she is not yet at a point where she can comprehend it,” she said.
The relative also disclosed that Aidan had huge aspirations for the future when he graduated from high school, stating that he was “just about to start life, a big life.”
Since he had just obtained his license, he was prepared to participate in employment interviews. He had a girlfriend for a lengthy period of time and was highly active in the church. Rabie said that he was certain that he always wanted everyone else to be laughing.
