TMZ has learned that Ryan Whyte Maloney, who was well-known for his appearance on the singing competition program “The Voice,” has passed away.

According to the Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner, Ryan passed away by suicide on Tuesday in Nevada. The official cause of loss was described as a gunshot wound to the head.

Ryan recorded a video on his Instagram Story the night before he passed away. at the video, he seems to be at a pub.

Ryan adds in the video, “Tonight, we will be rocking with nine fine Irishmen for a private party.”

In 2014, the vocalist participated in the sixth season of “The Voice.” They sang “Lights,” a song by Journey, in a blind audition in order to get a position on Blake Shelton’s team.

Ryan was one of Blake’s top five finalists. He competed in a few of battle rounds and even performed in the finals of that season.

Ryan sang four songs on “The Voice.” In addition to the Journey song, he also covered “What’s Love Got to Do With It” by Tina Turner, “Second Chance” by Shinedown, and “Easy” by Rascal Flatts.
