The father of the toddler fired fire on the teenage motorist who struck his kid when the child suddenly ran into the street. The driver instantly stopped and got out of the vehicle in an attempt to rescue.
A two-year-old kid was killed in a terrible accident in Stanislaus County, California, when he went into a road and was hit by a vehicle that was driving toward him. Two days later, the father, who was grieving, was arrested for shooting at the motorist, who had stopped right after hitting the kid.
According to Fresno Fox station KMPH, Elvis Zepeda, 28, was charged with attempted murder, possession of an illegal handgun, and possession of a dangerous narcotic. He was sent to the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
On Tuesday, January 21, at around 8:30 p.m., the incident began near Highway 33. Elvis Zepeda and his son Benjamin were standing on the side of the highway near a food truck when the boy abruptly ran into the traffic, according to the California Highway Patrol, as reported by the site.
As Benjamin ran straight in front of an approaching BMW vehicle, Elvis after him. The car hit the tiny boy.

According to the police, the driver of the BMW, who was 19 years old, stopped right away and got out of the car to attempt to assist. However, that was when Elvis allegedly took a pistol that he had on him and started shooting, striking the back of the car.
The motorist swiftly fled the site of the collision, but was not injured in the shooting. The Modesto Bee adds that after departing, the motorist called CHP and is completely cooperating with the investigation.
According to Sacramento Fox station KTXL, police have discovered at least eight shot casings in the vicinity, but they have not uncovered any proof that the teenager was driving dangerously.
“He left the scene in fear for his life,” CHP spokesperson Officer Tom Olsen told The Bee. “He took the initiative to inform law enforcement about what happened.”
Benjamin was in serious condition when the CHP and emergency first responders from the Patterson Police Department and Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department arrived. He was taken to Doctors Medical Center, but he eventually passed from his injuries.
Benjamin Zepeda was born on August 14, 2022. My eldest and only kid is a wonderful lad. Has a lively attitude and is really humorous. Almendra Alfaro, the mother of the children, said in a CBS News report, “He had a great time watching Spider-Man, drinking juice boxes, and sneaking apple sauce pouches in his room.”
The aunt of Benjamin’s mother has created a GoFundMe page to assist the family in covering the costs of Benjamin’s funeral. “Benji was born on 8/14/2022 and gave pleasure to their family with his gorgeous grin. She remarked, “He will be missed a lot.” The fundraiser has the title “Benji’s Smile Lives On,” among other things.
