Melissa Coulier, the wife of Dave Coulier, is providing an update on the Full House actor as he goes through his cancer treatment.

The 41-year-old woman said in an interview with WXYZ that her husband, who is an actor, has been receiving more difficult therapy since he was diagnosed in October.

She said, “He has some really tough days, and as the chemotherapy has been building up, it gets a little tougher and more difficult.”

The wellness teacher, on the other hand, said that the comic has maintained a positive attitude by using comedy, which is beneficial on the more difficult days.

She said, “You need to have a positive attitude like he does if you want to really fight it.” “We try to put on a song and have a little dance party with the dogs every morning, if he’s feeling up for it. It’s important to celebrate the good times when you feel good.”

Melissa told the site that “everyone is really rallying around” Coulier, but he draws a lot of his strength from his family members who have gone through similar situations.

“I believe that it is simply a part of who he is.” He has experienced a lot of loss in his life as a result of having to cope with cancer. He lost his mother, sister, and niece. She answered, “His other sister had it.” “I believe that he draws strength from the women who were close to him in his life and that he wants to honor them by pushing through. He takes every step forward.”

Coulier, 65, revealed his stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma diagnosis exclusively to PEOPLE on Nov. 13. He said that he had an upper respiratory illness that caused his lymph nodes to expand, which is why he decided to be checked.

The actor remarked at the time, “My doctors called me back and they said, ‘We wish we had better news for you, but you have non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and it’s called B cell and it’s very aggressive.'”

He went on to say, “This journey has been like a roller coaster ride that has gone by really quickly.”

Coulier said that his wife has been ensuring that he feeds properly throughout his battle with the sickness since he was diagnosed.

He told PEOPLE that Melissa, who he married in July 2014, “has put together a whole nutrition plan for me.”

In an Instagram photo on November 13. Melissa also wrote, in part, on how she is assisting her husband when he received his diagnosis: “We are concentrating on providing him with real whole foods, eliminating refined sugar and processed foods, spending time outdoors, and incorporating infrared saunas, breathwork, and massages to help Dave feel more comfortable and stronger.”

She went on to say, “Every day, I am inspired by Dave’s resilience, and together, we are doing everything we can to support his recovery, including lots of laughter to keep our spirits high.”
