Despite the fact that Mariah Carey does not need the title of “Queen of Christmas” any more, Billboard is granting it to her anyhow since her very popular holiday tune has just broken yet another record!

Since its debut in 1994, “All I Want for Christmas Is You” has been at the top of the Hot 100 list for three weeks in a row, making it Mariah’s longest-running chart-topper. This accomplishment brings the total number of weeks it has spent at the top of the chart during this time period to seventeen.

MC celebrated the accomplishment by uploading a picture from Billboard’s Instagram account that featured the company’s announcement on Monday.

A message that said, “This is amazing!!!!” was included in the original post that she had made. This is something that I will never, ever, ever fail to take for granted. Happy Christmas at an early hour!!!!

In the past, Mimi’s song “One Sweet Day,” which she released in 1995 with Boyz II Men, held the position of number one for the longest period of time. By the way, “All I Want” is now in a position to potentially achieve even greater success.

It is conceivable that it will remain at number one for two more weeks, which is a possibility given the time of year; if it does, it would tie for the longest-running number one in the history of the world. The song “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X and the song “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” by Shaboozey are presently tied for the record with 19 weeks of continuous playing among them.

The fact that Mariah’s song will be aired on the radio and streamed by all of you (you have probably heard it within the past ten minutes) does not change the fact that it is very possible that she will end up with the record.

On the other hand, if she does not succeed, there is always the following year, when ‘All I Want’ will almost likely finish at the top of the Hot 100 chart once again.
