The actors that played Stranger Things have officially parted ways with the show.

The Netflix series made the announcement on Friday, December 10, that it had completed production on the fifth and final season, which is scheduled to release the following year. Additionally, the series published a collection of images from the set, and cast members started to pay respect to the series that had a profound impact on their lives.

The fifth season of Stranger Things has recently been completed. In an Instagram post, Finn Wolfhard expressed his continued state of disbelief. “We shot it for a year and I’ll miss all of my friends and our characters terribly.”

According to what he commented, “When I think of the show, I picture this first photo.” He provided a photo from the first season of the program, which showed the cast as infants. A group of irresponsible young people who are creating something that they believe to be cool but for which they have no idea what is going to happen. I get the impression that we are still those individuals, and I consider myself fortunate to be standing next to them even now.

In the photograph, Wolfhard, who is now 21 years old, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, and Gaten Matarazzo are posing with Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, and Natalia Dyer. All of these individuals are between the ages of 10 and 12 years old. “I hope you’ll love this season as much as I do,” he concluded by saying. “See you all next year. 🚲🚲🚲🚲.”

Schnapp, who now twenty years old, also penned a long goodbye to the show, in which he highlighted ten “valuable life/career lessons I learned” throughout his ten years as Will Byers.

In the beginning of the post, he said, “Two days ago, I wrapped my final scene as Will Byers, and I’m feeling very emotional.” He then on to yell out what he had learnt from the Duffer brothers, Shawn Levy, Wolfhard, Winona Ryder, Millie Bobby Brown, Matarazzo, McLaughlin, 23, Sadie Sink, and Heaton.

He said that Ryder “sparked my love for film by introducing me to her favorite classics from movies like Terms of Endearment to Almost Famous.” Matarazzo, who is 22 years old, “taught me that it’s cool to be a nerd,” while Bobby Brown, who is 20 years old, “taught me to embrace my silliness.”

Sink, who is 22 years old, instructed Schnapp to “embrace the child inside us and never let that go,” while Heaton, who is 30 years old, “showed me that true masculinity is rooted in love, kindness, and gentle compassion.”

When I was a child, I never stopped feeling like an outsider and uncertain of where I belonged. The experience of navigating life in the limelight while carrying this emotion, through every uncomfortable phase and humiliating event exposed for the world to see, has unquestionably been one that is out of the ordinary. “However, it has been a privilege for me to share it with my incredible co-stars, who comprehend it in a manner that no one else can,” Schnapp concluded.

After describing the Netflix show, which he began working on when he was just ten years old, as “more than a job,” Schnapp went on to say, “It was a dream that continued throughout my entire life.” Due to the efforts of the Duffers, a dream became a reality. Many thanks for putting your faith in me when I was just a little child of ten years old and for entrusting me with something that is of such great significance to both of you.

“Together, this cast and crew has collaborated to create something that is really remarkable, and I couldn’t be more thrilled for the world to see the conclusion of this chapter. In my opinion, Stranger Things is a narrative that never comes to an end; it will remain in my heart forever.

Additionally, Ross Duffer expressed his departure from the show in an Instagram post. In the post, he reminisced on the almost ten years that the crew has been working on Stranger Things. He referred to the show as “a defining part of their childhood” for the fundamental cast members.

“They’ve grown up before our eyes, becoming more than actors—they’ve become family,” he said in his article.

With the intention of teasing the upcoming final season, Ross stated, “Everyone involved was determined to bring this story to a conclusion that was satisfying.” They put their whole selves into it, and we couldn’t be more pleased with what they’ve achieved as a result of their efforts. Next year, we can’t wait to announce it to each and every one of you. Up until then, I’ll be out of here.”

A teaser that was released by Netflix in November indicated that there would be a time leap between seasons 4 and 5, with season 4 taking place in the spring of 1986 and season 5 picking up “in the Fall of 1987.” However, there is not much information that has been provided regarding the last season of the series as of yet.

Additionally, the episode names for the eight final chapters of the plot were revealed in the teaser, which was published on Stranger Things Day. “The Crawl;” “The Vanishing of ___,” “The Turnbow Trap,” “Sorcerer,” “Shock Jock,” “Escape From Camazotz,” “The Bridge,” and “The Rightside Up” will be the titles of the episodes that will make up the remaining episodes of the series.
