Since the first episode of Malcolm in the Middle aired 25 years ago. It’s possible that I urinated a tiny bit since I’m so enthusiastic about this…. Kaczmarek, who is also 68 years old, said, “What a delight that I get to yell at that kid again!” Cranston, who is 68 years old, made a joke. Being able to come back together and find out what this family has been up to is something that we are really, extremely pleased about.

The revival — which is written and executive produced by Linwood Boomer, who created the original series — will chronicle Malcolm (Muniz) and his daughter as they are “drawn into the family’s chaos when Hal (Cranston) and Lois (Kaczmarek) demand his presence for their 40th wedding anniversary party,” according to a press release.

There has been no recent announcement on the debut date or any more casting.

Over the course of seven seasons, beginning in the year 2000 and ending in 2006, Muniz portrayed the title role on Malcolm in the Middle. The sitcom chronicled the life of the Wilkersons, a dysfunctional family consisting of six members, each of whom had a unique personality type. These personalities included a troublemaking brother, an immature father, an overbearing mother, and a studious teenage son.

Not only did Muniz, Cranston, and Kaczmarek appear in the comedy, but Christopher Masterson, Justin Berfield, and Erik Per Sullivan all appeared in it.

The president of Disney Branded Television, Ayo Davis, made the following comment in response to the aforementioned remark: “Malcolm in the Middle is a landmark sitcom that captured the essence of family life with humor, heart, and relatability.” Its depiction of a lovably dysfunctional family, which is both humorous and heartbreaking, struck a chord with audiences of all ages, and we are so delighted to welcome the original ensemble back to bring that magic to life once again. These brand-new episodes will have all of the laughter, pranks, and mayhem that fans have come to love, along with a few surprises that will remind us of the reasons why this program has stood the test of time. Linwood Boomer and the creative team will be in charge of these episodes.

“Malcolm in the Middle literally changed the face of the television comedy landscape when it premiered twenty years ago, redefining what the genre could be,” Karey Burke, president of 20th Television, noted. “Malcolm in the Middle” “When Linwood Boomer suggested that it might be time to bring everyone’s favorite dysfunctional family back for a bit of a reunion, we couldn’t think of a more iconic and influential series to revisit, along with a truly brilliant cast to reunite,” according to the statement.

Both Muniz and Cranston have hinted at the possibility of a comeback for the Emmy-winning comedy, which has been a source of speculation.

Muniz said to Fox News in October 2022 that he “would be down, 100 percent” for a reunion, which was something that Cranston was discussing at the time.

“When I was on Malcolm, I was just so excited to be working on a show,” he said to me. In addition to that, in the same vein, when the show was over, I sort of stepped away from the business for a short period of time. I began the process of doing other things. I competed in automobile races. I became a member of a band. Around the world, I was on tour. I started a few enterprises, and during my life, I had the opportunity to experience a great deal of incredible things. Now that I’ve reached this point in my life, I am able to reflect, look back, and enjoy the experience to the fullest extent possible.

Cranston said in an interview with E! News the following year that he “certainly would be open” to the possibility of a resurrection.

“There was some talk about the possibility of doing something like a reunion movie of Malcolm in the Middle,” Cranston acknowledged for the first time at the time.

“We had such a great family on that, and I certainly would be open to that if there was a good idea that came up like, ‘Oh, that would be fantastic to explore what happened to this family 20 years later,'” he said in conclusion. “I can’t believe it’s already that, but that would be fun to do.”
