An individual who is well-known for her Kamala Harris mimics that have gone viral on social media alleges that her lover made an attempt to kill her herself.
Sienna Hubert-Ross believes that Oliver Lane is responsible for “brutal assault, battery, and attempted murder” against her. This allegation is included in a 14-page lawsuit that was submitted to the New York Supreme Court on Monday, September 30. PEOPLE was able to access this complaint.
Her demand for damages is for five million dollars.
According to court filings, Hubert-Ross, who is 25 years old, and Lane, who was born in the United Kingdom and is 26 years old, “met on the dating app Hinge and went on their first date on May 14, 2024.”
Lane is said to have been “very interested in Hubert-Ross’ public persona” from the beginning, “almost to the point of obsession,” according to the lawsuit. Hubert-Ross is a model and comedian who has almost 300,000 followers on Instagram.
On the other hand, she asserts that his adulation quickly transforms into abuse.
Lane proposed that Hubert-Ross move into a “expensive” apartment that was co-rented with Lane’s buddy Will after they had been dating for “approximately a week and a half.” According to the complaint, Hubert-Ross voiced her displeasure of the suggested living arrangement due to the fact that it resulted in “frequent and common” conflicts between the pair.
Despite the fact that other issues were brought up, her “greatest” fear was that “Hubert-Ross believed Will had a homosexual love interest in Lane, and if they lived together, Will and Lane would engage in a romantic affair.” These two independent incidents of assault and abuse were brought about as a result of the argument about the living condition, according to the complaint.
The lawsuit filed by Hubert-Ross states that on July 26, 2024, the couple went to a pub in New York City called O’Hanlon’s, when she and Lane once again started arguing over the living arrangement. Hubert-Ross claims that this confrontation took place. Lane is accused of “forcefully [shoving] Hubert-Ross at the bar and in public.” Their argument apparently became heated, and Lane is accused of saying that he did this.
According to the allegations, Lane exclaimed, “I’m going to f—— kill you!” when they were traveling in a taxi on their way home. It is alleged by Hubert-Ross.
She claims that he engaged in sexual activity with her once again the next day, and that because of this, “she ultimately conceded and agreed” to live with Lane and Will.
In addition, the lawsuit states that on the evening of August 7, the couple went out with friends at another pub. Among the companions was a person with whom Hubert-Ross had a “casual relationship” some years before. That Lane was aware of the past connection is one of the allegations made in the lawsuit.
“As the night progressed, Lane alternated between berating and ignoring Hubert-Ross due to his insecurities regarding her previous casual relationship,” she claims. “This was due to the fact that he was insecure about her.”
Lane proceeded to question Hubert-Ross about her previous relationship when she returned home, which was “now in the early morning hours of August 8, 2024.” She goes on to say that he “became extremely angry, raising his voice and verbally abusing Hubert-Ross,” which is included in the complaint.
Additionally, Hubert-Ross adds in the complaint that Lane “accidentally disclosed” that he was still in contact with an ex-girlfriend when they were having a disagreement. Lane allegedly informed his ex-girlfriend that “she was the only one for him and that Lane often woke up thinking about her, when he was in bed with Hubert-Ross.” She claims that she looked through Lane’s cellphone and found texts in which he made this statement.
She then asserts that Lane “snatched” his phone back from her and “violently threw her into the stove,” where she lay “stunned and shocked by what had just occurred.” She alleges that she was thrown into the stove.
“just the beginning of Lane’s violent assault and attempted murder,” she claims in her lawsuit, referring to the incident in question.
According to the allegations, Lane “dragged her into the bathroom” and shoved her into the bathtub. Hubert-Ross, who weighs 115 pounds, was left powerless against the accusation of “physical assault.” The claimed attack then went to their living room, where Hubert-Ross said that she was able to take Lane’s phone during the fight and “sent screenshots of Lane’s texts with his ex to her phone.” She did this in order to inform her “friends and family about what transpired in the event that Lane killed her.”
Hubert-Ross claims in her petition that she was able to take her phone and contact her mother from one of the bedrooms after Lane had gone to the bedroom. Her mother then combined the connection with one of her friends, who then phoned the police as they listened to the alleged attack. Hubert-Ross said that she was able to do this from one of the bedrooms.
Before Lane allegedly sat on her and “violently slapped her across the face at full strength multiple times,” Hubert-Ross claims that she was thrown off the bed during the altercation, which “caused her to violently hit her head against the bottom of the bed frame.” Hubert-Ross also claims that she briefly lost consciousness as a result of this. Lane is also said to have told her that he wanted to kill her.
In addition to this, she claims that he attempted to “suffocate” her by using a pillow.
After Lane’s first missing punch of the evening, a barrier of shattered glass was constructed between him and Hubert-Ross. This was a fortunate turn of events. “Then, before Lane could then finish the job and kill Hubert-Ross, he stepped on the broken glass, which temporarily disabled him in time for the police to arrive at the scene,” the lawsuit reads. Sarah, who was Hubert-Ross’ acquaintance, first phoned the police to the situation.
As stated in the lawsuit, Hubert-Ross asserts that she “suffered significant injuries as well as severe emotional and psychological distress.”
The legal team that represents Hubert-Ross issued a statement to PEOPLE in which they stated, “We are proud of Ms. Hubert-Ross for having the courage to come forward as an advocate for victims of domestic violence and even more so, as an advocate for herself.”
In addition, the company said, in a manner that was similar to the complaint, that “the allegations against Mr. Lane are very serious because it was a brutal attack that left both physical and emotional scars that will haunt her for the rest of her life.” We are looking forward to making sure that Mr. Lane is held accountable for his shameful acts despite the fact that he will now be compelled to answer for his crimes.
However, they were unable to get in touch with Lane for a remark very away.
