For those who have criticized Selena Gomez, she has a message: being vulnerable is not a sign of weakness.

The actress and singer, who is 32 years old, discussed her choice to come out about her inability to bear children and her battles with mental health during a passionate speech that she delivered at a recent event. She also ordered those who were critical of her to “f— off.”

According to video from the event, Gomez said, “I truly believe that there is power in being vulnerable and telling people when you need help, when you want help.” This statement was made while her younger sister, Gracie Elliott Teefey, was sitting next to her.

This is not a dishonorable act. Having said that, I did admit that I am unable to bear a kid. Yes, I did disclose that I suffer from bipolar disorder. Don’t bother. “That is exactly how my life is,” she said, as the other participants applauded in accord with her statement.

Gomez continued by stating that she has a desire to “advocate for women, and that is why I share.” For this reason, I prefer to be honest, since I believe that everyone is going through something for some reason.

It’s not like I have everything under control. Here I am. She went on to say, “And that is all I can be,” before directing her attention to someone who was not visible on the screen and saying, “So do not ever let anyone tell you that you are not a good person, that you aren’t kind, that you won’t treat people with respect.”

Turning her attention back to the subject of vulnerability, Gomez said, “Because that is not lame, that is so cool of you guys.”

She came to the conclusion that “and that is the fact.” Everyone who tells you that you are a victim should be ignored. From my point of view, you are a survivor.

The remark was delivered by the star of “Only Murders in the Building” not long after she disclosed in the October edition of Vanity Fair that she is unable to bear her own children.

During an interview with the magazine, Gomez said, “I have never said this before, but unfortunately, I am unable to carry my own children.”

In addition, she stated, “I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s in jeopardy.” She went on to say that “that was something I had to grieve for a while.”

In addition, the actress said to Vanity Fair that she is in “a much better place with that.” She had previously detailed the difficulties she had as a result of lupus symptoms and had disclosed that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in April of 2020.

“The fact that there are wonderful people willing to do surrogacy or adoption, both of which are enormous possibilities for me,” she continued, “is a blessing that I find to be a blessing on my life.”

It made me really grateful for the alternative opportunities that are available to those who are eager to become mothers. I am one of those individuals,” Gomez concluded. “I am looking forward to embarking on that adventure, although it will be a little bit different from what I had anticipated. By the end of the day, I don’t give a damn about it. Yes, I will have it. It will be my little one.”
