It came as a complete surprise to this bereaved mother when the buyer returned the crib that she had sold at a yard sale a week after her son had passed away. A tremendous deal of joy comes to me whenever I think of the impending birth of a new baby. Those who are about to become parents are filled with delight as they contemplate the happiness that will accompany the arrival of a new bundle of joy.

Her excitement and emotions were shattered when she gave birth to a stillborn boy, despite the fact that Valerie Watts was anxious to see the face of her baby. Her pregnancy went along without a hitch until things experienced a sudden turn. Watts said, “I knew throughout the entire week.” The fact that he wasn’t moving about too much made me feel really anxious. Baby Noah’s life was cut short before it ever started when the umbilical cord was compressed by the womb. Watts carried on with his melancholy. Despite the fact that her kid eventually passed away, she was unable to bring herself to get rid of the cot that she had purchased for him. The fact that it was in her home served as a constant reminder of the horrific event that had occurred.

Gerald Kumpula observed that she gave off an impression of uncertainty. It was his belief that she would not be interested in selling it, but she did end up doing so. In close proximity, Kumpula was the proprietor of a workshop located on the outskirts of Cokato. Even though the crib was not available for purchase, he was interested in purchasing it when he spotted it at the garage sale that the Watts family was holding. In response to his question, Watts said with me, “When he asked me if I was selling that, that he made benches, I hesitated.” The cradle tale was not something that Kumpulas was acquainted with at the time. “While his wife was there, she was going through my garage sale, specifically at some of the baby things, and she inquired about the age of my kid since I no longer use the crib now. According to Watts, “I informed her that he had passed away in July.” Following the completion of the necessary modifications, Kumpulas gave the crib to the Watts family, recognizing it as belonging to them. Immediately after that, Watts said, “I started crying.” The cradle bench that Kumpulas has created serves as both a reminder of difficult times and a source of solace for the parents who are grieving the loss of their child.
