In this interview, Jennie Garth discusses her separation with her husband Dave Abrams, which lasted for ten months, as well as the challenges they had while undergoing in vitro fertilization procedures.
The actress of 90210: Beverly Hills, who is 52 years old, said in an interview with SELF that was published on Thursday, September 12, that prior to the breakup of her relationship with Abrams in 2018, the pair had been undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures that ultimately did not result in a pregnancy.
In an interview with the publication, the mother of three said, “[We] were trying to have a baby, and it kept failing.” In addition, it was really challenging for both of us on an individual level as well as for our partnership.
The couple finally gave up on the dream of having children together after a number of rounds of in vitro fertilization (IVF) failed to produce a pregnancy. According to Garth, this choice, on the other hand, “freed us up to love each other in a different way.”
“Dave is just an incredibly supportive and loving person,” she added, adding that she was able to enjoy her spouse more when the pressure to have children was removed from her life. Just like that, he is always considering ways in which he may make me happy and improve the way the day goes. I am extremely thankful for the love and kindness that dad has shown me throughout his life.
With her ex-husband, Peter Facinelli, Garth is a mother to three daughters: Luca Bella, who is 27 years old; Lola Ray, who is 21 years old; and Fiona Eve, who is 17 years old. In a recent interview with PEOPLE, she discussed her views on the prospect of being an empty nester in the autumn of next year, when her youngest child would be attending college.

“Every time I walk by her room, I give myself a little pause and think, oh, she’s almost 18,” Garth said to PEOPLE of her youngest child. “It was a moment of reflection.” It is difficult for me to recognize her as the young lady that she is because, to me, she is my baby. I suppose that I will continue to treat her as if she were my baby for the rest of my life. In addition, I need to change my behavior and remind myself to treat her in accordance with her age.
In spite of the fact that Garth is still trying to come to terms with what will be her new reality, she indicated that Abrams is looking forward to spending time with her alone.
As she spoke, she said, “Oh my god, my husband is so excited.” Not that he does not have feelings for the females. Despite the fact that we still have two of the girls living at home, he loves them as if they were his own. The fact that the 21-year-old is now living with us at home is something that I like. I want each and every one of them to be eternally with me.
“I think it’ll be a challenge to become an empty-nester just because I don’t think they’re ever going to leave.”
