A wrist injury that Angel Reese sustained in her last game has rendered her inactive for the remainder of her rookie season. As a result, her season is officially over.

The center for the Chicago Sky resorted to social media on Saturday to make the announcement. She began by joking that she couldn’t fathom that her last shot of the season would be a three-pointer, and then she went on to remark that she is overcome with emotion due to the fact that her year has come to an abrupt completion.

Having said that, AR admits that she is quite thankful for whatever happens next, adding that this may be God’s time. However, she states that at least she will be able to give herself a rest, both physically and mentally.

Reese believes that the league should be on the lookout for her in the next season because she may be able to make more three-point shots.

Averaging 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds over the course of 34 games, Reese was selected seventh overall in this year’s WNBA draft. She came from LSU and was taken by the league.

In the beginning of this season, she also established a new record by achieving 15 straight double-doubles, which ultimately led to her being selected for the All-Star game and being considered for Rookie of the Year.

With a video showing Angel cheering after Caitlin Clark was fouled hard by a teammate going viral on social media, it is clear that Angel’s rivalry with Caitlin Clark has captivated the attention of fans this year.

Fans on the internet are obviously divided into two camps, despite the fact that she has openly denied having a rivalry with the frontrunner for Rookie of the Year in the recently passed months.
