A statement has been made by Jenn Tran on her breakup with Devin Strader.

Jenn and Devin announced their engagement in Hawaii on the season 21 finale of The Bachelorette, which aired on Tuesday, September 3. However, the pair subsequently disclosed that they had ended their relationship. During the After the Final Rose special, Jenn disclosed that Devin’s sentiments had shifted very quickly after the events that transpired in their relationship.

According to what she shared with the presenter, Jesse Palmer, “things were just different as soon as we had left Hawaii.” “It kind of just felt like he was pulling away all the promises that he had made to me — wanting to move somewhere together, and wanting to have this future planned out, and wanting to see each other all the time.”

The explanation that Jenn provided was that she had ceased getting calls and messages from Devin, and she became “confused.” Her then-fiancé called one night.

“He called me, and he basically broke off the engagement,” according to her account. “He said that he did not love me anymore, that he felt the same way, and that he got the impression that something had been awry ever since the second item he requested from me. “He was sorry that he had gotten engaged.”

While Jenn was attempting to comprehend the stresses that may be brought up by becoming engaged on a reality program, she said that she offered to collaborate with Devin on the matter.

“[I replied] ‘Let’s just spend some time together. It is not necessary for us to get engaged; I want to spend the rest of my life with you, and I don’t need a ring on my finger,” she remembered telling him. His condition was examined. Now, he was no longer interested in doing that. In addition, I have been working hard to preserve the connection by doing all in my power to sympathize with him and to make an effort to make things work. He had little interest in attending couples therapy sessions. He had decided that he did not want to continue to battle for the relationship.

Following that conversation, which Jenn said lasted for fifteen minutes, she asserted that Devin has not replied to her attempts to get in touch with him.

“We were full-blown engaged and in love and now you’re ignoring my text like I mean nothing to you,” she said in response.

It is possible that viewers will remember that Jenn was left with her three suitors, Devin, Marcus, and Jonathan, for the dream suites. Her sentiments for Devin were strong at the time, and she conveyed them by stating that being with him “just feels right” and that he “makes me feel loved and just supported.”

The student of the medical assistant program said, “I want to be in love with Devin, and I think I’m really close to that,” as she responded to the cameras.

In contrast, Marcus admitted to his date that he was not yet at the place where he could be considered in love before they went out for the night.

In a conversation with Jenn, Marcus told her, “You deserve someone who is sure about you.” It’s been difficult for me to get to a place where I feel comfortable stating that I’m in love. I don’t know whether I’m putting pressure on myself because of how rapidly this process has gone or how soon the conclusion of this process is nearing, but it’s been difficult for me to get to this point.

Jenn, on the other hand, needed to be truthful about her sentiments, which manifested themselves more strongly than Marcus’s during the overnight dates. She informed him the following: “I would be lying if I didn’t tell you that I am in love with you.”

Additionally, it seemed as if she and Jonathan were in a good place as they made their way into the fantasy suites, and they even used the “L” word.

When Jenn was asked about the creative director, she said, “I had the feeling that I could spend the rest of my life with this guy.”

There is not a shred of doubt in my mind that I will be able to wake up tomorrow and declare, “Hey, this is my person.” After then, he addressed the cameras and stated, “I am so in love.”

In the end, Jonathan was eliminated from the competition, and Marcus and Devin were left to compete for the last rose. As the audience is aware, Devin was the winner of the competition.

Jenn had previously discussed her experience on the dating program with PEOPLE. During her time on the show, she played the role of the leading woman, and she was competing with 25 suitors for the opportunity to propose to her at the conclusion of the season. In response to the question of whether or not she would be watching, Jenn was quick to react.

What are you trying to say? What, I’m not going to watch the two months that have been the most amazing of my life? To which she said, “Of course, I am!” in a July issue. “Of course, I cannot wait for the debut of it. When I think about how strange it is that this wild voyage took place, I can’t help but feel pleased at the prospect of being able to see it again.

Immediately after the Men Tell All special, in which Jenn took advantage of the chance to defend herself against Sam M. after she felt that he had mistreated her on their dates, she shared with PEOPLE that she had gained a great deal of knowledge from the experience, and she even hinted at how she was doing in advance of the conclusion of the show.

Her explanation was as follows: “I’ve grown so much through the journey that I’m such a different person now than I was when I was participating in it.” “I have a newfound sense of self-assurance and this empowerment, and as a result, when I look back on everything that happened, there were definitely certain situations with [the guys] that I was very enlightened by after the fact, and I was like, ‘Oh, now I can pinpoint exactly what’s wrong here and why I felt this way or why I didn’t stand up for myself.'”

After some time had passed, she said, “I do not have any regrets with the entire journey.” “I believe that everything transpired in the manner in which it was originally intended to transpire, and I couldn’t be happier about it. All of the errors and other blunders that I committed along the road are mine to own, and I am satisfied with the lessons that I have gained from them; hence, I do not have any regrets about anything.
