The wife of Johnny Gaudreau is celebrating their third wedding anniversary with a message that is incredibly painful. This comes only a few days after the terrible deaths of both the National Hockey League player and his brother and sister.
The statement was made by Meredith on Instagram on Wednesday. “I never post this much but John deserves it,” she stated. “Today marks three years since I became yours for all time. I count this day among the most memorable of my whole life, right up there with the night we announced our engagement and the days we delivered our children into the world.
Meredith, who included photographs of their wedding and honeymoon in the heartfelt statement, revealed that she had known from the minute she first met the Columbus Blue Jackets player that she would eventually become his wife, and that their connection continued to improve as time went on.
“The day I met you I remember saying to myself, omg I’m going to marry him,” she said in her statement.
“I love you forever John and I am so proud to be your wife.”
On August 29, the night before their sister’s wedding, Johnny, who was 31 years old, and Matthew, who was 29 years old, both passed away after being struck by a vehicle who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol when they were riding bicycles. John and Matthew were both killed.
The horrific losses of Johnny and Matthew sent shockwaves across the world of sports, with renowned sportsmen like as LeBron James and Mike Trout expressing their sympathies to the families of the deceased.
