It would seem that Oliver Stone is not a great fan of his film “Natural Born Killers,” and he holds one of the film’s actors responsible for “ruining” the legendary picture from the 1990s. One of the stars in question is none other than Robert Downey Jr.!
You are aware of the film ‘NBK’, which was criticized by the media when it was released in 1994 due to its graphic representation of violence, and it even sparked some actual crimes that were imitated in real life. Despite this, the picture that has generated a great deal of controversy received positive reviews from the majority of reviewers.
Now, however, it seems that Oliver is one of the individuals who also have some issues with the movie that stars Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis, and he blames the guy who played Iron Man accountable for his distaste for the film.
In a recent oral history of the film that was published by Esquire, OS criticizes Robert for his “slapstick bulls***” acting when he was playing the role of journalist Wayne Gale. He even goes so far as to state that he warned the actor at one point, “You’re ruining my movie!”
That is a rather harsh assessment, although to be fair, RDJ portrayed the Australian as a flamboyant cuckoo and a big-time fame whore in the character that was not only emotionally unstable but also highly memorable.
It is quite unlikely that RDJ would be too upset by Oliver’s comments. After all, the individual has just won his first Academy Award for his performance in “Oppenheimer” and has become one of the most famous celebrities on the whole globe as a result of his Marvel makeover.
