The actress of Real Housewives claims that she was given an incorrect diagnosis and sent home while her body was unwittingly battling a large infection. This caused her to have a bout of amnesia, which resulted in her losing contact with “hours” of her life that she still does not recall.
There was a “de.adly” health crisis that Vicki Gunvalson went through earlier this month, and she is now providing details about it.
As part of the episode of the My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast that aired on Monday, the star of The Real Housewives of Orange County recounted the health crisis that left her with amnesia and caused her to miss “a lot of hours” in her life.
“There seems to be about an hour or two that I was missing and I don’t know where I was,” Gunvalson stated before admitting that she started “talking gibberish” to a customer who was in her office. A client was there at the time.
It just so happened that the customer in issue was a retired physician who approached her lover, Olivia Smith, who is the daughter of Michael Smith, and suggested that the reality star could be “having a stroke.”
“Olivia took me to the hospital, and I don’t remember anything,” Gunvalson recounted. “I don’t remember anything.”
The Bravolebrity, who is 62 years old, said that the doctors finally misdiagnosed her with a sinus infection and released her from the hospital later that night. Olivia urged that her father come home and take care of the reality star, despite the fact that she had already taken antibiotics when she returned home. Olivia showed an excess of caution.
“She was lethargic and she really didn’t understand where she was,” Michael stated on the show. He also said that the physicians “kind of ran with” the diagnosis of a sinus infection after being informed that Gunvalson had just recovered from one.
When Michael said that he discovered Gunvalson “pretty much passed out” in a bubble bath, he referred to this as “one of the scariest” instances of her health problem. Things proceeded from bad to worse after Michael made this statement.
It was then that I grabbed her, dragged her out of the water, and placed her in bed. He remembered that the doctor had told him that all she needed was to sleep, so he placed her in bed and she slept for a total of thirteen or fourteen hours without waking up. It was after this that he brought her back to the hospital, and his anxiety for her continued to rise.

She was suffering from a severe infection. It was actually sepsis, but it was pneumonia,” Michael revealed, “And what happened … is that when your body is fighting that big of an infection and that dangerous of an infection, your whole body attacks it, which affects the brain and everything else in your body because your body sends everything it has to fight it.”
As the founder of Coto Insurance continued to struggle with the aftermath of the health crisis, she became more upset as she shared with her audience the extent to which her neurologist had informed her that she was on the verge of passing away.
The revelation was made by Gunvalson as she was fighting back tears. “I had a 10 to 20 percent chance of survival,” she said. “Despite the fact that I weep a lot, Michael is always asking me, ‘Why do you keep crying?’ I am unable to provide a response.”
She went on to say, “I mean, if you think back a week, we were in Barcelona walking between sixteen and twenty thousand steps, and we were having the time of our lives. Three days later, I’m in the hospital.”
Fans, on the other hand, were given the assurance by Michael that Gunvalson’s health is getting better, despite the terrible period.
He said, “She will be fine,” and she was right. “She’s coming out of it.”
Gunvalson, who is now just designated as a “Friend” on the program, has had a number of health issues throughout the course of her career. The Real Housewives of Orange County actress most recently disclosed that she had an illness during her most recent appearance, which followed a visit to the cosmetic surgeon.
on the course of her career as a full-time housewife, she has also had a few medical issues, which required her to be transported by emergency medical technicians (EMTs) on cast visits. Additionally, she has experienced a few tumbles.
