Sid Vicious, who won the World Wrestling Federation championship twice, has passed away. He was 63 years old.

On Monday, August 26, the son of the professional wrestler, Gunnar Eudy, posted a memorial on Facebook in which he revealed the passing of his father, who was born Sidney Eudy.

Gunnar said of Sid, who was also known in the ring as Sycho Sid and Sid Justice, that “I am deeply saddened to share that my father, Sid Eudy, has passed away after battling cancer for several years.” Sid Eudy had been battling cancer for several years since his loss. We shall miss him very much since he was a guy of tremendous strength, compassion, and love. His presence will be deeply missed.

Fans, veteran wrestlers from the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), and members of the WWE all paid tribute to the WrestleMania icon, describing the influence that Sid had on the wrestling world.

Upon hearing the news, Shawn Michaels, who had previously used Sid as a bodyguard before to fighting against him for the World Wrestling Federation championship title, expressed his “sadness.”

It is impossible to overestimate the significance of the part he played in the production of ‘The Heartbreak Kid.’ He was a presence that will be remembered forever. Michaels, who is 59 years old and retired, stated in a statement that was published on X that his work, legacy, and impact would continue to inspire our company for many decades to come.

In November of 1996, Sycho Sid defeated Michaels, which established him as the first ever WWF champion. After losing the championship to Michaels in a rematch a few months later, Sid was able to recapture the title from Bret Hart in February of 1997.

Booker T, another wrestler who has retired, sent a statement regarding the legacy that Sid left behind.

According to a post that Booker T, who is 59 years old, posted on X, “I don’t think my brother and I would have made it to WCW without Sid Vicious.” His influence on our company cannot be denied, and he was instrumental in paving the way for a great many of us. I would want to extend my most sincere sympathies to his family during this trying time.

The WWE issued a statement expressing their sorrow at the news that Sid Eudy had passed away. We would like to express our deepest sympathies to Eudy’s supporters, friends, and family.

Additionally, Sid’s son said that the specifics of Sid’s memorial ceremony would be communicated in the near future; nevertheless, for the time being, “We appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we grieve this loss.”
