Ten years after his father’s passing, Zak Williams, the son of Robin Williams, is remembering his father.
Zak, who is 41 years old, shared a photo of the Oscar winner on his social media account on August 11th, along with a heartfelt message to his father.
His description started with the phrase “Dad, it’s hard to believe it’s been ten years,” and it was placed alongside a picture of Robin in the role of Mork from the comedy series Mork & Mindy. “Today, I’m reflecting on the immense love you shared with all of us — your family, your friends and everyone you met.”
“You continue to inspire me every single day to do whatever I can to help create a more connected and loving world for our family,” he proceeded to say. We will always love you. ❤️” = ”
On August 11, 2014, Robin took his own life and passed away. The age of the man was 63. Zak said in the year 2020 that his father “took great lengths to support his well-being and mental health, especially when he was challenged.” This statement was made before to his father’s passing that year.
At the time, he went on to say that “it was something that was something that he considered on a daily basis.”
Over the course of his career as a comedian and an actor, Robin managed to win over a substantial number of admirers. In the 1970s, he started his career by doing stand-up comedy. He went on to feature in a number of films, including Good Will Hunting, Dead Poets Society, Aladdin, Mrs. Doubtfire, and Good Morning, Vietnam, amongst others.
In 1988, he was awarded the trophy for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the film Good Will Hunting, which earned him four Oscar nominations. Additionally, he was awarded two Emmys and five Golden Globes for his work.
While a picture of Robin with Crystal the monkey, who portrayed Dexter in Night at the Museum, went viral, Zak Williams’ sister Zelda Williams also shared an homage to Robin, dispelling reports that he had a pet monkey. The photo was uploaded on Zak’s Facebook page.
Considering that additional postings that are either utterly incorrect or poorly researched are likely to go viral on the anniversary of Dad’s passing, maybe you should simply assume that they are all BS (which they often are). I will definitely do it ♥️,” Zelda commented on X, which was once known as Twitter.
Williams has three sons: Zak, Zelda, and Cody, all of whom were 35 years old. Cody was 34 years old.
There was an homage that Zak paid to his father on X on July 21, which was the day that would have been Robin’s 73rd birthday.
A picture of his father meditating was accompanied by the words, “Dad, on what would be your 73rd birthday,” which he penned. When I think of you, I think of all the happiness and optimism that you brought into the world.
“There is not a single week that passes without someone telling me about how you assisted them in getting through a difficult moment or a difficult period of their life. I feel very fortunate to be your son. You will always be loved,” he said.
